Culpeper Humane Society

Culpeper Humane Society The Culpeper Humane Society strongly recommends the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats, to reduce Our Spay & Neuter resources are expanding as well!

In 2000, the HSC began its purpose by working within the walls of the Culpeper County Animal Shelter - supplementing adoption efforts for dogs and cats. A few years afterwards, the HSC sought its own space downtown (office space) to begin the effort of running a full-time foster/adoption program that eventually grew to support other areas of animal welfare, offering other services, such as spay/ne

uter. Today, we are an all volunteer, home foster based, non-profit animal rescue group with no brick and mortar facility. By closing the office, we save on overhead costs to provide more money for vet and care for more rescue animals. We've greatly expanded our Pet Pantry program to include the pets of the disabled, and seniors as well as individuals through Human Services. Reaching a much larger and diverse population for true community assistance for its cats and dogs is a primary goal of the Culpeper Humane Society.

A thousand thanks to Weis, our fabulous partners in animal rescue! We received a donation of 800 # of dog and puppy kibble! At the left in the back is Randy (manager), Debbie and Neka - we are just thrilled to receive this pet food, it takes such a financial strain off of us from purchasing, and provides tons of meals for needy doggos. Thank you for being part of our team (from l to r in the foreground) Tyler, Angie and Debbie and (in the background from r to l) Jane and Janet! Just a part of the wonderful dedicated volunteers for the Pet Pantry program. We love our community!

Tomorrow is Give Local Piedmont, and we are thrilled to be part of it! We've planned for weeks for this day! No gift is too small, and helps us keep all our programs active to achieve a No Kill Community. Each of those faces below reflect a program that has changed their lives to a happy, loved and secure life. Thank you to our wonderful animal loving community for being part of rescue!

You are more than welcomed! We are happy that our overage could help, we know you are getting in so many stray dogs and puppies being surrendered! The treats will help too! LOL More puppy food on its way to you!

A huge THANK YOU to the Culpeper Humane Society for their incredibly generous donation of 350 pounds of dog and puppy food! ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ

This donation is making a direct impact on so many lives โ€” helping feed the dogs currently waiting for their forever homes here at the shelter, while also allowing us to support members of our community who may just need a little extra help keeping their beloved pets happy, healthy, and at home where they belong.

Acts of kindness like this truly make a difference for both animals and the people who love them. We are so grateful for the continued support and compassion shown to our shelter and our communityโ€™s pets.

Thank you for helping us care for animals in need! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฅฐ

Date a Dog! Contact the Culpeper County Animal Shelter!

๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œOur Date a Dog program has been AMAZING thanks to our wonderful community and volunteers!!๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿพ

Every day a dog gets time out of the shelter....to experience a car ride (possibly for the first time), to experience a pup-cup, to experience this beautiful place we all call home.... that dog gets just that much more adoptable. This is not just a program that helps the shelter staff with their daily dog walks....this is a program that helps dogs be everything they CAN be! It takes a village!! And we're super stoked that our village is as supportive as they are ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒน

๐ŸŒŸIf you would like to sign up for the Date a Dog program (or ANY volunteer opportunities) signing up is easy! Just fill out a volunteer application and email it to [email protected]. Applications can be found here:

Only 3 days left until May 12th, Give Local Piedmont! Another highlight of what what we achieve with our many programs. Seniors for Seniors is tied directly to our Pet Pantry and Support 4 Paws programs. While seniors in our community have social services, we are their pets' safety net. Please consider helping us to continue helping them. Thank you. https://www.givelocalpiedmont.org/organization/hsc
