4-H Grows Sign Ups are happening now. Email [email protected] for a payment link. Cost $10. Grow meeting to get plants and seeds is Tuesday, June 16 at 5:30 at the North Alabama Agriplex.

Dairy Poster Contest is happening now. Make a dairy poster using the theme "Milk's Got Game". Be sure to use a 14"x22" poster board and turn it in to the Extension Office by June 23 to be judged. County award prize money and state prize money.

Outdoor Adventure Club braved the rain for our latest kayaking adventure. I mean we were dressed to get wet, so what’s a few raindrops! We had fun exploring a Northwest Alabama location. In June we will have another kayaking adventure. Special thanks to Yellowhammer Outdoor Development for sponsoring this year’s shirt designed by club member Julie.

Yesterday we had 39 youth from Cullman County represent at the NE Alabama Regional Congress competition in Rainsville. Youth competed in their project area, enjoyed activity booths and enjoyed free lunch. Thank you to all the sponsors. Congratulations to all the youth. Some will be moving on to the state level competition in June!

Deadline extended to June 1! This is going to be a fantastic program introducing youth to traditional and non-traditional careers in agriculture that are available in North Alabama. School excuses will be given and there will be a graduation ceremony on campus at Auburn University.

Calling all rising 6th-12th graders!! NE Alabama Extension is hosting a regional club just for you! This exciting career exploration club will expose youth to incredible career opportunities in agriculture, natural resources, food science and STEM- some you may have never thought of. It will have 5 field trips (transportation provided by Extension staff) and a graduation ceremony at Auburn University. Space is limited.
