An organization to maintain and encourage cultural exchanges and personal relationships between Cullman, Alabama and Frankweiler, Germany.

In 1987 Cullman Mayor Jack Sides went to John Cullmann's hometown of Frankweiler, Germany at the invitation of Frankweiler Burgermeister Gunter Stiess. During the visit the two men made a toast with a glass of Frankweiler w**e signifying that Cullman and Frankweiler were sister cities. Over the years the to cities have exchanged visits and a close bond exist to this day. The Friends of Frankweiler Club meets quarterly.

Another fun thing to do in Germany in the Autumn.

Herbst is a beautiful season in Germany, and kite flying one of the country's most popular autumn outdoor activities. This weekend it’s the "Drachenfest (kite festival) am Südstrand" in Burgtiefe on Fehmarn Island, in northern Germany, and the kites are far from a simple combination of wings, tethers, pulleys and anchors.
