A beautiful day for healing and growth! 💜

Today, Kim Tidwell took some of our ladies to the park as part of their therapy and wellness activities. They enjoyed a walk together, fresh air, sunshine, and meaningful conversation.

Recovery is about so much more than overcoming addiction—it’s about rebuilding healthy habits, finding joy in simple moments, and learning to care for mind, body, and spirit.

Thank you, Kim, for investing in the women of Restoring Women Outreach and helping them take steps toward a brighter future, one walk at a time. 💜

It really is that simple...tell our story.

Because our sweet friend and amazing volunteer, LaNette, was a WoodmenLife policyholder and took the time to share the mission of Restoring Women Outreach, WoodmenLife awarded $2,500 toward the Ridgecrest Center project!

Think about that for a minute. One person shared what we do. One conversation. One story. And because of that, women in recovery will have a better place to heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.

A huge thank you to WoodmenLife for investing in the women we serve and believing in the work being done at Restoring Women Outreach.

And a very special thank you to LaNette. She volunteers, encourages, prays, shows up, and now helped secure funding for Ridgecrest simply by telling others about our mission.

If you've ever wondered how you can help, start there. Tell our story. Share a post. Invite someone to visit. Introduce us to a friend, church, business, or civic group. You never know how one conversation can change a life.

Thank you, WoodmenLife and LaNette, for helping us continue serving more women and their families. ♥️

Big thanks to Cheri McCormack Seymore and Josh Drummond WoodmenLife

Thank you, Dewayne and Cindy Goodwin, for spoiling our ladies this weekend! Your generosity was about more than the car load of snacks~it was a reminder to each woman that she is loved, valued, and worth celebrating.

We are grateful for people like you who help us encourage our ladies along the journey. Thank you for making their weekend a little sweeter! 🍪🍰♥️

These pictures were taken on one of those days that catches you off guard and touches your heart in a way words can't fully explain.

The E3 Women's Mission Group~Empowering, Encouraging, and Equipping Women for Missions from Northbrook Baptist Church, along with Don 😊came to visit the Ridgecrest Center. What made this visit so special is that these women and Don were dear friends of Miss Dorothy, our co-founder, a woman I loved deeply and admired tremendously.

As we walked the property together, I found myself fighting back tears. Back in 2011, Dorothy and I prayed for a place just like this. We dreamed about a property where more women could find hope, healing, and a fresh start. At the time, it seemed so far away. Yet many of these same people were there praying with us, believing alongside us.

Northbrook Baptist Church stood beside Restoring Women Outreach long before many people knew who we were. They helped pay utility bills, provided food, encouraged us, and supported our mission when resources were scarce. Their faithfulness helped carry us through some difficult years.

To have them walk these grounds today, to see what God has done, and to share in the vision for what is still to come was incredibly meaningful. It is a blessing to have them involved again and excited about helping us strengthen and expand our program so we can serve even more women.

Before they left, we gathered and prayed over the property. As we stood there, I couldn't help but think that Dorothy was praying right along with us.

Some dreams take years. Some prayers take years. But today was a reminder that God is faithful in every season.

Thank you, E3 Women's Mission Group and Don, for your continued love, support, and prayers. 🙏

~Carol ♥️

📣 Yard Sale Mystery! 📣

This unique framed military photograph showed up at our yard sale, and after looking at the back, it appears someone took the time to identify several men in the picture:

• Martin Patterson
• Robert Manasco
• J.D. Marcum
• E.J. Sargent
• James P. Richardson
• Jerome Smith
• James J. Watts
• John Underwood
• Donald Hattley

The handwritten notes on the back even mark where they are standing in the photo.

We would love to see this piece find its way back to a family member who would appreciate it. ❤️

If you recognize any of these names or know someone who might be connected to them, please tag them or share this post. We would be happy to get it into the right hands.

A Door of Hope ❤️

To most people, this may look like just another door in the middle of a construction project.

And honestly, right now we’re still very much in the messy, dusty, “ugly” stage of renovation.

But we see something different.

One day soon, this door will open to welcome a woman into a new home. A place where she can finally exhale. A place where she can be safe. A place where she can begin to believe that her past does not define her future.

Since 2011, we have been praying for her.

We may not know her name yet, but God does.

This door represents the generosity of people who have given, volunteered, prayed, donated materials, shared our mission, and believed in second chances. It represents businesses, churches, civic clubs, community leaders, board members, staff, volunteers, and women in recovery who pour into others every day.

Many of the people helping build this place will never meet the woman who walks through this door. Yet they continue to give because they believe she is worth it.

When she arrives, she won’t walk this journey alone. She will be surrounded by women who have traveled the road before her ~ women who will speak truth, offer encouragement, extend grace, and remind her that recovery is possible.

So today, we celebrate a door.

Not because of what it is.

But because of who it will welcome home.

🏠❤️ One door closer to changing another life at Ridgecrest.

Some battles are fought quietly behind closed doors — but the healing touches entire families. ❤️

At Restoring Women Outreach, recovery is about more than one woman finding sobriety.
It’s about children getting their mothers back.
Grandparents finding peace again.
Families rebuilding trust.
And future generations seeing that hope is possible.

This is why RWO matters.
Not just for today… but for generations to come. ❤️
