A Door of Hope ❤️
To most people, this may look like just another door in the middle of a construction project.
And honestly, right now we’re still very much in the messy, dusty, “ugly” stage of renovation.
But we see something different.
One day soon, this door will open to welcome a woman into a new home. A place where she can finally exhale. A place where she can be safe. A place where she can begin to believe that her past does not define her future.
Since 2011, we have been praying for her.
We may not know her name yet, but God does.
This door represents the generosity of people who have given, volunteered, prayed, donated materials, shared our mission, and believed in second chances. It represents businesses, churches, civic clubs, community leaders, board members, staff, volunteers, and women in recovery who pour into others every day.
Many of the people helping build this place will never meet the woman who walks through this door. Yet they continue to give because they believe she is worth it.
When she arrives, she won’t walk this journey alone. She will be surrounded by women who have traveled the road before her ~ women who will speak truth, offer encouragement, extend grace, and remind her that recovery is possible.
So today, we celebrate a door.
Not because of what it is.
But because of who it will welcome home.
