We were so glad to welcome Baxter Bentley, Executive Pastor at Northbrook, to RWO! 📸😊

Baxter came out to visit, learn a little more about what we’re doing, and begin planning a Northbrook Serve Day at RWO on September 19th! 🙌

Serve Days mean so much more to us than simply getting projects checked off a list. They bring extra hands for the heavy lifting, fresh energy to our campus, fellowship, encouragement, and most importantly people willing to give their time to help us prepare a place where women can rebuild their lives.

There is SO much happening at RWO right now, and we simply could not do it without churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals who are willing to roll up their sleeves and serve alongside us.💪

Thank you, Baxter, for taking the time to come see us, and thank you Northbrook for choosing to serve with RWO! We are excited to have your crew here September 19th—and I promise, we’ll have plenty for you to do! 😂💪

“Serve one another humbly in love.” ~Galatians 5:13 ♥️

Most people see discomfort and hit the brakes.
But the truth? Some of the most powerful breakthroughs start with that tight-chested, shaky feeling right before something changes.
Growth isn’t cozy.
Healing isn’t smooth.
Becoming someone new is supposed to stretch you.
If you’re uncomfortable right now, maybe it’s because your life is trying to move forward — and you’re standing in the doorway.
💛 Comment “I’m stepping through” if this hit you.

♥️VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT♥️
LaNette Forsyth

Some people show up to help… and then there’s LaNette. She shows up with a smile, her kids in tow, somehow volunteers her sweet husband AND even brings her mama along! 😂

LaNette is one of RWO’s biggest cheerleaders. She doesn’t just believe in what we do, she is constantly looking for ways to help us do it better.

She has secured a grant, found a donor for a new central heat and air unit, and is always looking for opportunities and resources to help RWO and the women we serve.

But what makes her so special is the way she serves. LaNette is teaching her children that loving your community isn’t just something you talk about ~ it’s something you DO. And she’s managed to make serving a family affair, from her children to her husband to her mom! ♥️

She truly has a servant’s heart. LaNette is willing to be the hands, feet and even the “BACK” of Jesus to others, if there is heavy lifting to be done, you can count on this girl to be right in the middle of it! 💪😊

She serves with joy. She serves without needing recognition. She sees a need and starts figuring out how she can help.

LaNette, thank you for believing in RWO, for loving our women, and for showing your children what it looks like to serve others well.

We love you and your whole volunteering crew! ♥️

Restoring Women Outreach joins our community in remembering and honoring Mr. Roy Drinkard and the remarkable life he lived.

Mr. Drinkard was always kind and supportive of the work being done at RWO, and we are grateful for the encouragement he showed our organization and the friendships he shared with members of our RWO family.

A life spanning 106 years leaves behind more than memories, it leaves a legacy. Mr. Drinkard’s love of country, commitment to community, and lifetime of service are an example that will not soon be forgotten. 🇺🇸

We extend our heartfelt prayers to the Drinkard family, his friends, and all who loved him.

Rest well, Mr. Drinkard. Thank you for a life well lived and a legacy of service. ❤️🤍💙

Tyler Hooper,
Executive Director of United Way of Cullman County, is simply one of the good ones.

Tyler is a man of character, joy, and genuine kindness. He leads by example, shows up with a servant’s heart, and somehow makes the work fun along the way. And if you’ve ever needed help with a grant, you already know—this guy is a PRO! 🙌

RWO and every partner agency of United Way of Cullman County are blessed to have Tyler in our corner—advocating for our organizations, encouraging us, and helping us better serve this community we all love.

We are lucky to have you, Tyler! Thank you for believing in the work being done across Cullman County and for using your gifts to help all of us do it better.♥️

What a beautiful night! We celebrated five incredible women who made the courageous choice to change their lives and are now graduates of Restoring Women Outreach.

It was especially meaningful to see so many former graduates return to celebrate and encourage them. Sobriety truly is a gift!

Thank you to St. John’s Church for allowing us to celebrate this special evening in Christ Hall. ❤️
