The National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC) Symposium was hosted in Washington, DC last week. The symposium is an annual national conference that brings together leaders, clinicians, staff, and partners to learn, connect, and share best practices. Executive Director, Jolanda Hutson, and Board Member, Dr. Lori McGrath, were able to attend and learn ways to strengthen Good Samaritan Health Clinic's impact as the clinic delivers sustainable, long term healthcare and all around wellness to the uninsured members in our community.

☀️ As summer comes to a close, we're taking a moment to celebrate the incredible volunteers who generously shared their time and talents with Good Samaritan Health Clinic over the past few months. This summer, 33 volunteers helped support our mission—including some of our board members who stepped in to help wherever they were needed throughout the summer.

🤩We're so grateful for the new volunteers featured here, who joined us for the very first time this summer. Welcome to our volunteer family! Between the four of them, we had at least one of their familiar faces volunteering with us every week.

⭐To ALL of our Summer Volunteers - You ALL helped in so many ways! Whether you provided health screenings in the Cullman community, woke up early and helped with the RUN for GOOD 5K and Fun Run, served weekly as a social services advocate, helped with office projects, filled in while staff were away, or completed an internship while lending a hand wherever needed, your service made a meaningful difference.
💙Thank you for sharing your time, compassion, and heart with our patients and our community. We are so grateful for each and every one of you.
