Progress Update from Eswatini! 🏡❤️

What an incredible reminder of what happens when a community comes together to care for one another.

The walls of the new home that Orphan to Heir is helping to build for an elderly gentleman in the community have now been completed, and if all goes according to plan, the roof will be installed next week!

What makes this project especially meaningful is that it is being carried out entirely by volunteers—men and women from his own community, joined by pastors from a neighboring community who have generously given their time and labor. This is the Church being the hands and feet of Jesus.

James 1:27 reminds us:
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…”

While this verse specifically mentions widows and orphans, its heart is caring for the most vulnerable among us. We are so grateful to every volunteer who is making that love visible through their sacrifice and service.

🌱🫛🍌🥑We were honoured to welcome representatives from Umdoni Farm to ABBA's House for a soil sampling exercise and site visit.

This milestone marks the official beginning of the establishment of the Permaculture City at ABBA's House—a vision that will promote sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, food security, and community empowerment.

We are excited about this partnership and look forward to seeing this transformative project grow and benefit many lives.

❤️🇸🇿📚BUILDING BRIGHT FUTURES THROUGH ENGLISH LITERACY🇸🇿📚❤️

For many children in the Kingdom of Eswatini, one of the greatest challenges they face when entering public school is language. While most children grow up speaking siSwati at home, much of their formal education is taught in English. Without a strong foundation in English, many students struggle academically—not because they lack ability, but because they are trying to learn new concepts in a language they are just beginning to understand.
That is why Orphan To Heir (O2H) is so excited to partner with the International Learning Center (ILC) to help change that story.
Together, we have introduced a specialized English language curriculum designed specifically for preschool children in the Mpolonjeni–Siteki region. This curriculum equips young learners with the foundational English skills they need before they begin their public school journey, giving them greater confidence and a stronger opportunity to succeed.
We are especially grateful for Mrs. Kim, the author of this outstanding curriculum, who personally provided training to our preschool teachers. By investing in the teachers, we are multiplying the impact for hundreds of children who will benefit from this program for years to come.
At Orphan To Heir, we believe that education changes lives. By helping children begin school with a solid foundation in English, we are opening doors to academic success, future careers, and opportunities that can transform families and communities.

🇸🇿Time to play Pickleball!🇸🇿

💛💛What started as a simple introduction to a new sport is quickly becoming an exciting movement among children and youth in southern Africa.💛💛

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and its popularity is beginning to spread throughout countries across southern Africa. The game is easy to learn, affordable to play, and accessible to children of all ages and skill levels. Most importantly, it creates opportunities for young people to gather in a positive, healthy, and encouraging environment.

At Orphan To Heir’s Ministry Center, pickleball is providing far more than exercise. It is helping young people develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, communication skills, and resilience. Through sport, children learn to set goals, handle both success and disappointment, respect others, and build lasting friendships.
