📜 GROUP RULES

1️⃣ Be kind and respectful. Treat every member, every Ma or Pa, and every care-facility staff with empathy and positivity.

2️⃣ Respect privacy and confidentiality. Do not share personal details, addresses, or photos of seniors publicly without permission.

3️⃣ No commercial or self-promotional posts. This group is 100% volunteer-based. Only share information directly related to our mission.

4️⃣ Stay mission-focused. Posts should relate to volunteering, companionship with seniors, updates from visits (with permission), needs of residents, or donation drives.

5️⃣ Appropriate and safe content only. No offensive, political, or inappropriate posts.

6️⃣ Commitment matters. If you “adopt” a Ma or Pa, do your best to visit or connect regularly. If you need to stop, inform an admin so we can reassign that senior.

7️⃣ Follow facility rules. Always comply with the assisted-living center’s policies, background checks, and visiting hours.

8️⃣ Photos and consent. Get permission from both the facility and the senior before posting photos or videos.

9️⃣ Report concerns. If you see something unsafe, neglectful, or concerning, report it to facility management and to an admin immediately.

🔟 Stay local. Our focus is the Emerald Coast area. Please ensure you can visit or support seniors in this region.

Our mission is to connect loving volunteers with seniors in assisted-living facilities across the Emerald Coast who may not have family visits or emotional support.

Here, we “adopt” a Ma or Pa — not legally, but emotionally — by offering companionship, time, and kindness. Many seniors in local facilities feel forgotten. Together, we can change that by visiting, writing, calling, or simply being a friendly presence.
