But in the middle of all the adjusting and rearranging, don’t forget to make room for what matters most. ❤️

🎹 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲: 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭! 💚

This week, we are thrilled to highlight a busy lady who serves our church family in so many ways! While she wears many hats, the role most people associate her with is her powerful presence on the Praise Team. Laura tickles the ivories each week, bringing genuine passion, heart, and talent to the music that fills our worship space.

Laura Morris Garrett began attending Hope Crest in January 2025 after feeling the Holy Spirit call her to use her musical abilities to help a new church plant reach families right here in Crestview.

When asked about her favorite part of our church community, Laura shared:

How well do you really know the Bible?

Think about this: 𝟒𝟎+ 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝟔𝟔 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟏,𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, yet every single page tells one unified story — God’s redemptive love centered on Jesus! That isn’t a coincidence; it’s divine inspiration (𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘴 = God-breathed).

This past Sunday, Brother Harold reminded us of a powerful truth: 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Here are four key takeaways from the message:

𝟏. 𝐁𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 👂

In 𝑵𝒆𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒂𝒉 8, when the Book of the Law was opened, the people stood in deep respect, and "𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦." They came with one mind, hungry to hear from God. Have we lost that awe? When God’s Word is open, are we truly listening?

𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 & 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐔𝐬 🛠️

According to 2 Timothy 3:16–17, Scripture doesn't just inform us...it transforms us! It reproves where we’ve strayed, corrects our course, and equips us for every good work. True spiritual maturity happens when we let the Bible "tweak" the areas of our lives that aren't surrendered to Him.

𝟑. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐬𝐞’𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐥! ✉️

As Adrian Rogers famously said, "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘎𝘰𝘥’𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯. 𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦’𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭." We cannot understand the Bible through human intellect alone. We need the Holy Spirit to guide us, give us discernment, and open our spiritual eyes.

𝟒. 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 🏃‍♂️

When the people in Nehemiah’s day heard the Word, they saw their sin, repented, and were then filled with 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐲. God's Word isn't meant to be glanced at on Sunday and forgotten on Monday. It is a living, active, two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Like God told Joshua, we are called to meditate on it day and night and 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦.

🇬🇹 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 & 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 🇬🇹

After the service, our church family gathered for a delicious 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧-𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥! 🍲✨

While we enjoyed the food together, we had the privilege of hearing a special report from our mission team. They shared stories, experiences, and pictures from their trip last week. Knowing God is moving, changing lives, and spreading His Word across borders, was a powerful reminder of what happens when we put our faith into action!

"𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩." — 𝘗𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘮 119:105

Let’s end the spiritual famine in our own lives! Let’s be a people who hunger for truth, honor the Scriptures, and are always ready to share the hope within us (1 Peter 3:15).

Every week, it takes a dedicated team to keep things running smoothly, and today we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our most faithful and versatile servants: Miley Marie Stanley!

As an active member of our young married class, Miley embodies what it means to have a true servant's heart. When asked which ministry she loves the most, her answer was simple and heartfelt:

True to her word, Miley jumps in wherever she is needed with a joyful spirit. Whether she is serving on our audio-visual team, pouring into the next generation in children’s ministry, or even heading outside to help cut the grass, she does it all faithfully and with a smile.
