Last night we closed out the summer the right way. 🏀 End of summer party, open gym, good energy, and a room full of people who love this program.

Before we get into a new school year, we took a minute to say thank you to the men and women who give their time all year long to develop our kids — Coach Ebae Young, Coach Jae Jones, Coach Maurice Meadows, and Coach Devin Harris. These coaches show up, put in the work, and pour into our athletes on and off the court. That doesn’t go unnoticed, and we wanted them to know it.

School starts Tuesday. Summer’s over, but what we built these last few months isn’t going anywhere. Proud of this staff, proud of this program.

Last night we had Tyler Rebber from Foundry Athletics take our athletes through an agility workout, and he definitely put them to work.

The session focused on footwork, change of direction, explosiveness, and body control—areas that are critical for basketball players looking to compete at a higher level.

At CGC, we believe player development goes beyond what happens with a basketball in your hands. Strength, agility, speed, and movement all play a major role in helping athletes reach their full potential.

A big thank you to Tyler and Foundry Athletics for investing in our players and helping them continue to grow.

The work doesn’t stop in the offseason. Keep stacking days.

Great night of training with Chris Jones at Foundry Athletics gym.

We had a strong turnout and our athletes got a chance to learn from someone who has played at the highest levels of the game.

Throughout the workout, Chris focused on teaching players how to attack their defender, play with their eyes up, and read the back line of the defense. He also worked on different finishing techniques around the basket and shooting on the move—skills that translate directly to game situations.

One thing we stress at CGC is exposing our players to high-level instruction and helping them understand what it takes to be successful beyond just talent. Last night was a great example of that.

A big thank you to Chris for taking the time to invest in our athletes and share his knowledge of the game.
