After 38 years of dedicated service to children’s education, including 21 years with the Gunnison Watershed School District and 17 years with Stepping Stones before that, Principal Sally Hensley is retiring from Crested Butte Elementary.

Sally’s impact on our students, staff, and families has been profound, leaving an enduring mark on our school and the greater Crested Butte community.

As we honor her remarkable service and lasting legacy, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating Sally by donating to our link in our story.

Congratulations Shawn Moran for receiving the Rachel Scott Kindness Scholarship & to Flint Hoyt for receiving the Titans Trait Scholarship!

Each of these scholarships are funded by the CBCS PTA and are for $1,000.

Back by popular demand! Your CBCS PTA is once again facilitating year-end giving in a way that makes it easy for parents! We’ve created a link for families who would like to contribute to year-end giving for Teachers and Staff, as an easy way to contribute to a group gift.

Community Block Party!
Join us for a CBCS Community Block Party at Zuni West Brewery! We’re ringing out the school year with a big Thank You to all our families, teachers, staff, coaches, volunteers, and everyone who is part of our CBCS community.

Thursday, May 21st at 5:00 PM

We’ll have free pizza and drink tickets for those who RSVP. Kids and dogs are welcome. Come celebrate the end of the year with us! RSVP in story!
