OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY 💜
Today, we remember the names, the faces, the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, and loved ones whose lives were lost to overdose.
But today is also about why we fight.
We fight because addiction is darkness—but darkness does not get the final word.
We fight for the person who is still struggling.
We fight for the person who feels like they have gone too far.
We fight for the person sitting alone, believing nobody cares.
We fight for the family praying for their loved one to come home.
We fight because recovery is possible.
We fight because redemption is real.
We fight because there is still purpose on the other side of addiction.
There are people walking around today who almost became a statistic—but God had another plan.
And that’s why we refuse to look away.
We will enter the dark places.
We will sit with the broken.
We will listen without judgment.
We will love people right where they are.
We will speak hope when hopelessness is screaming.
We will remind people that their past does not disqualify them from their future.
We don’t fight people. We fight the darkness that tells them they are worthless, hopeless, forgotten, and beyond saving.
And we fight with everything we have because every life matters. Every story matters. Every recovery matters.
To everyone who has lost someone to overdose: we remember them. We honor them. We grieve with you.
To everyone still fighting addiction: DON’T GIVE UP.
Your story isn’t over.
There is still breath in your lungs.
There is still purpose in your life.
There is still hope.
The darkness may be real—but so is the Light. And we will keep fighting until people can see it. 💜 🕯️
