♠️ RE-INTRODUCING ACE ♠️

Ace is a handsome 4 year old German Spitz and Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his personality. This incredibly loving boy lives to make his people happy - he’s eager to please, deeply devoted, and happiest when he’s right by your side.

True to his breed mix, Ace is intelligent, energetic, and wonderfully expressive. He takes his “home security” duties seriously and will proudly let you know when someone is nearby. Because of this, Ace would thrive in a quiet home - ideally with some land to run and explore. He is currently being fostered in a peaceful mountain neighborhood and is absolutely flourishing in that calm environment. A busy city or high-foot-traffic area would not be suitable for him.

Ace is equal parts ready to go go go and ready to no no no. He loves laying on the couch being pet, brushed and having his belly scratched - but if you get up to do anything, oh it’s ON - we are doing a thing and we are excited about it! Wherever you go, you can count on Ace to stick close - he’s a loyal shadow in the best possible way.

Ace is house-trained and dog-friendly with proper introductions. When it comes to cats, Ace is “cat-excitable” - if a cat runs, he’s likely to chase. However, he does well with calm, dog-savvy cats who aren’t fazed by him. And squirrels? Well… if you’ve got squirrels, Ace is happy to provide full-speed yard patrol services!

If you’re looking for a devoted, silly, loving companion and you have a quieter setting where he can stretch his legs and be his best self, Ace just might be your perfect match.

Ace is up to date on all of his annual vaccinations (including canine influenza and leptospirosis). He is neutered, microchipped and received an all clear at his wellness exam!

Now more than ever, we need your help. Truly.

Last week, we shared that we unexpectedly lost a major monthly donor due to a change in their management. Those funds were a critical part of keeping our rescue running - covering veterinary bills, medical care, and essential supplies.

And then Ace was returned.

We will always take our dogs back - no matter the circumstances, no matter the timing. That commitment will never change. But it does mean we absorb the full cost of their care when they come back.

Ace’s vaccinations expire next month and we wouldn’t adopt him out without having all his medical testing and vaccinations done. With the loss of consistent donations, covering these expenses has become incredibly challenging.

Dear Ace,

We owe you an apology.

When we placed you with adopters a year and a half ago, we truly believed we were giving you your forever home. You trusted us. You walked out our doors believing that chapter of your life was finally closed, that you were safe, chosen, and done with goodbyes. And we failed you.

We are deeply sorry for the confusion, hurt, and heartbreak you must feel being returned after all this time. You gave your whole heart, your loyalty, your patience, and your love - and you deserved for that commitment to be matched and honored. Instead, you were let down, and that is on us.

Please know this: your return is not a reflection of your worth, your behavior, or the incredible dog you are. You did nothing wrong. You are still the same wonderful, deserving soul you were the day we first met you - kind, resilient, and full of love to give.

We promise you this, Ace: we will do better. We will keep searching, ask harder questions, and take the time needed to truly find the right family who will cherish you for the rest of your life. We will not rush your next chapter. We will protect your heart as fiercely as you protect those you love.

Your true forever home is out there - a place where you will never have to wonder if you’re staying, where your bed is always yours, and where love doesn’t have an expiration date. We will not stop until we find it for you.

Asher is looking for his forever family!! He is a 2 year old male purebred Dalmatian (likely HUA - awaiting confirmation) that is dog friendly, cat friendly and child friendly. However, Asher is highly food motivated so we don’t believe he would do well with a young child in the family at this time.

Asher is a typical Velcro Dalmatian that loves to play. While not required, he would do best in a home with another dog and a fenced in yard.

Asher is still learning his commands so he will need someone dedicated to his training - but he is house trained, crate trained and rides very well in the car (although we’ve determined a slight fear of loud diesel engines).

Asher is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of his annual vaccinations (including canine influenza and leptospirosis). We will supply the adopter with all medical records in addition to a full blood panel and urinalysis results.

✨ INTRODUCING ASHER ✨

This handsome 2 year old male Dalmatian just joined The Maddux Movement family! 🖤🤍🖤 Asher is incredibly sweet, full of personality, and already stealing hearts - along with a little food 😉 . After being abandoned on a street corner, Asher’s foster mom quickly came to his rescue and brought him out of the elements and into her home. Although he was microchipped, it was never registered by his family. So Asher’s foster mom tracked down the location that implanted the microchip and was able to locate his breeder ( 🕵🏼‍♀️ ) ! But unfortunately, the family chose not to respond to his breeder either. Needless to say, Asher deserves far better. So, with the breeders permission, we were able to take Asher into our rescue and begin his journey to a brand new, and much more loving future! Asher has shown to be dog and cat friendly and is still working on his house training, crate training and leash training. We’ll be opening applications for his furever home as soon as our vet gives us the all-clear 🐾 Be sure to follow along as we learn more about this gorgeous boy — we know Asher’s happily-ever-after is just around the corner!

✨ NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS ✨

Bennett is looking for his forever home!! This one year old male Dalmatian is dog friendly (with proper introduction), cat intrigued, and child friendly - although we haven’t quite learned our jumping manners yet. True to his breed, Bennett is incredibly intelligent, very high energy and very high in shedding: 24/7, 365 days a year. He will require an adopter who is dedicated to providing daily mental and physical stimulation! While he is crate trained, Bennett will need to continue working on his commands. He is a typical 1 year old dal and is definitely in his toy destroyer phase.

At TMM, adoptions are not based on a first come first serve basis. Rather, the individual(s) selected will be chosen based on what is best for each animal and their needs.

✨ Annnnnnd we’re back!! ✨

Introducing BENNETT 💕 Bennett is a young male Dalmatian (around 1-2 years old) who found himself at Augusta Animal Services during week! While he may have missed the tournament, he’s hoping for a big win in being adopted by a loving family! This boy is super sweet and loves to snuggle and receive pets, however he is still very young and in the process of learning his manners. True to the breed, Bennett is a high energy, high shedding Velcro dog. He appears to be crate trained and dog friendly but seems a little too excitable around cats at the moment - keeping in mind he’s still decompressing and this trait may change over the coming days. Bennett will need some basic vetting as well as a neuter but we expect to open applications within the next week or two! With the adoptions of Theo and Louie officially finalized, we are temporarily pausing our intake while we transition The Maddux Movement from Atlanta to the North Georgia mountains. During this time, we will continue to support our shelters and rescues by assisting with transport services and providing regular donations of pet food and/or other needed supplies. We anticipate reopening intake in the late spring or early summer. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we make this exciting transition!
