😍🐾 Have you ever seen a cuter little cutie patootie?!

Precious Toffee is living his best life over at our dear friend Kayla's house, where he's getting lots of love, TLC and his very own private nurse! ❤️

Kayla graciously offered to care for this sweetheart for a couple of weeks while he gets a little steadier on his feet and we work on finding a wonderful foster or rescue to take him under their wing.

And considering this little guy came to us with broken front and back legs and serious pelvic injuries, seeing him enjoying some fresh air and sunshine this weekend just melts our hearts! ☀️🐶

Thanks to the incredible Dr. Julia and the VSGNO team for putting our broken boy back together, and to sweet Kayla for making sure his recovery comes with plenty of love and pampering!

We think Toffee has figured out that being spoiled is pretty sweet! 🥰

We'll keep you posted on this precious little heart-stealer! ❤️🐾

📣 Today was a heartbreaker. 💔 Her wonderful rescuer, Paris, named her "Angel" earlier today. Little did we know that by tonight, this precious mama would earn her wings. 🌈

Angel wandered onto the porch of Paris and her mother in Breaux Bridge last night, clearly in distress. They knew something was terribly wrong and refused to turn away.

Thanks to our supporters, Dr. Zac and nurse Kristen T. at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center took her in this morning. Her condition was devastating. A kitten that had been deceased for some time was partially delivered, and her tail had terrible, infected wounds filled with worms.

But we had hope. ❤️

The team started IV fluids, trying to stabilize her for an emergency C-section tonight.

Sadly, Dr. Emily just called with heartbreaking news. Angel's breathing had become concerning, her blood glucose was too low to even register, and she went into cardiac arrest. Her little body simply couldn't overcome what appeared to be overwhelming sepsis.

Sometimes, no matter how hard everyone tries, we just can't save them all. 💔

But Angel mattered. She wasn't ignored, she wasn't alone, and she knew kindness in her final hours.

Our heartfelt thanks to Paris and her mother for doing everything possible to get this sweet girl help, to Wild Cat Foundation for also answering their call and offering some support. and to the wonderful team at LVCC for giving her every chance. ❤️

We'll call on our dear friend Catherine at Pet Passages in Lafayette to make sure Angel is honored, and we'll place her tag on our Rainbow Bridge Lacombe.

Run free, sweet Angel. Chase all the mice your little heart desires, with no more pain or suffering. 🌈🐾

You were loved, even if only for a little while. ❤️

❤️ Eight weeks ago, Max was barely 35 pounds and struggling to survive. Today, he's THRIVING and has a new best friend! 😍🐾

Remember our precious boy Max? Just 8 weeks ago, he was skin and bones, severely dehydrated and wandering the streets of Sunset, Louisiana, desperately searching for food.

And just LOOK at him TODAY! 😍

Thanks to the wonderful care of his foster mom Cecily, Max is absolutely thriving! And perhaps the sweetest part? He's discovered the joy of having a playmate! Cecily's other foster girl, beautiful Lola, has become his new bestie, and these two are having the BEST time together! ❤️

What a difference a little love, good food and a safe place to land can make.

🐾 And here's the BEST news! BOTH of these precious angels are looking for loving forever homes through Midwest Vizsla Rescue! Can you help us find their perfect families? Please share!

We're so grateful to the Guidry and Roy families who refused to turn a blind eye, Dr. Ashlyn and the wonderful team at The Veterinary Clinic at Copper Crowne, our dear friend Em who lovingly nursed Max through those critical first weeks, and now Cecily for continuing his beautiful transformation!

And of course, our incredible supporters, who make second chances like Max's possible. ❤️

Eight weeks ago, Max was simply trying to survive. Today, he's finally getting to enjoy being a DOG! 🥹

Now let's help Max and Lola find the happy endings they both deserve!

📣 THURS PM UPDATE: Just look at this precious duo! Two sweet souls getting the care they so desperately needed!

A quick update on our boy Toffee, who is doing great and soaking up all the attention from nurse Julia over at Veterinary Specialists Of Greater New Orleans this evening! 😍

And beautiful black lab Evangeline, who underwent emergency pyometra surgery today with Dr. Cobbs and the wonderful team at Crowley Veterinary Hospital. A big thank you to nurse Brittney for the positive update on this sweet girl! ❤️

🚨 BUT WE HAVE AN URGENT PLEA FOR EVANGELINE! 🚨

This precious girl was facing a life-threatening infection, and thanks to our supporters, she got the emergency surgery she needed to survive.

Now we desperately need a rescue to step up so she has somewhere safe to go after hospitalization! 💔

Evangeline is scheduled to return to Acadia Parish-Animal Control tomorrow, but we just can't bear to send her back to a shelter kennel after everything she's been through.

We're keeping her hospitalized through the weekend at our expense to give her a little more time to recover and, hopefully, find a rescue willing to give her a second chance.

But Monday is coming quickly, and she has nowhere to go. 🥺

🙏 RESCUE FRIENDS, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SAY YES TO EVANGELINE? We've gotten her through the medical emergency. Now we need your help to make sure her story has a happy ending.

Please message our dear friend Jenny Guidry if your rescue can take this beautiful girl under its wing. And if you can't take her, PLEASE SHARE. The right rescue may be just one share away!

We'll keep you posted on these precious pups! ❤️🐾

📣 R***r said "Give me the Nudges RIGHT NOW!" 😍 😆 When R***r heard the Nudges arrived, dear Em said he couldn't contain his enthusiasm. ❤️

She had to put him in his kennel, he was determined to devour the entire bag and maybe her hand with it. 😉 Thanks to our krewe's Dogfather John who spoils our charges with treats and blankies! 🍗

R***r is improving by leaps and bounds each day thanks to the love and attention he's receiving from the compassionate team at Copper Crowne. Dr. Ashlyn took care of his neuter for us and now he's all vetted, just waiting on a rescue - fingers crossed we'll have good news to share soon!

A Good Samaritan found him in Prairie Ronde last week, caked in mud and suffering from a large caliber gunshot wound, and brought him to our friends at The Veterinary Clinic at Copper Crowne on Friday.

We let the clinic choose his name, and somehow R***r seemed to fit. The bullet entered near his neck and exited through his side. The good news is that, despite the large caliber wound and significant bruising, miraculously missing anything critical.

We're grateful to our supporters who allow us to step up for injured angels every single day of the week. We'll keep you posted on this sweetheart! ❤️

📣Mardi Claws to the rescue! 😻 Meet Ramen, Dr. Erin named her that because she was skinny like the noodle. 😭 Thanks to the best supporters we could say yes to getting her the emergency surgery she needed today and she's resting comfortably tonight over with our friends at Rice City Animal Hospital

She had a pr*****ed re**um (we covered the graphic photo), loaded with a trifecta of worms, fleas, thinning hair, missing teeth, pale inflamed gums, and sores in her cheeks.

But thankfully she combo tested negative for FELV and FIV, such great news! Dr. Erin was able to do a purse string procedure to hold the re**um in place and they got the angel started on parasite treatment and anti-inflammatory pain relief.

Showing up at a compassionate household that just couldn't take on this expense, she texted Amber who couldn't take on another medical case and called on us.

We're grateful we could get Ramen all fixed up and out of pain today! 😍

📣 Meet Usher, just a baby found abandoned in St. Landry Parish, snuggling up to a sweatshirt that may have been his only source of comfort. 💔

When Good Samaritan Amber Arnaud finally coaxed him close enough, she discovered something heartbreaking. This baby had a collar deeply embedded in his neck, leaving a painful, infected wound.

Dr. Erin at Rice City Animal Hospital estimates Usher is just 14 to 16 weeks old, based on his tiny teeth. How does a puppy this young end up abandoned and suffering like this?

Thanks to our incredible supporters, we could say YES to getting him medical attention and tonight, sweet Usher is all cleaned up and resting comfortably with our friends at Rice City Animal Hospital! 😍

Dr. Erin cleaned out the wound, about an inch deep from the embedded collar and started him on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.

We're glad Amber reached out, she had a very busy day and just couldn't take another medical case on. He'll be going under the wing of Southern Pets Animal Rescue soon though!

Thanks to Dr. Erin and the team who worked in a couple of emergencies today for us.

Tonight, instead of curling up alone beside an abandoned sweatshirt, Usher has a clean, safe place to rest, medicine to ease his pain, and people who care whether he wakes up tomorrow feeling better.

That's what your support makes possible. One precious life at a time. 🐾❤️
