Orange County Model Engineers The Orange County Model Engineers owns and operates the Goathill Junction Railroad. The Goathill Junction station includes a gift shop and restrooms.

We are the Orange County Model Engineers, a 501c3 non-profit that owns and operates the Goathill Junction Railroad in Costa Mesa’s Fairview Park. We are an all-volunteer organization that gives free rides to the public every 3rd weekend of the month from 10am-3:30pm, weather permitting. Our railroad runs on donations and your support is greatly appreciated. We also offer birthday parties! For more information on booking private parties, and much much more, please visit our website at www.ocmetrains.org. Information for the live steamer: Goathill Junction is a 7 1/2in gauge railroad built to IBLS standards. We love hosting visiting live steamers and we hold two yearly meets where guests from other railroads can bring their own equipment to run on our railroad. We have an air operated hoist from loading/unloading, steaming bays with air and water connections, and a fun route through the nature park. 👻 Ghost-Hill Junction and free train rides are THIS WEEKEND! Come on out to Goathill Junction for some free family-friendly fun from 10am to 3:30pm on both October 17th & 18th.

🚂 Our volunteers have been working hard to get everything ready and we look forward to sharing our hard work!

🎃 We also encourage everyone to wear their best family-friendly Halloween costumes! Just please be sure not to have long costumes that will drag on the track during your ride.

Each train trip lasts 12-15 minutes our trains take you through a section of Fairview Nature Park.

🚞 Please note passengers must be at least 31in tall to ride the train.

🚂 Come one, come all to Ghost-Hill Junction at OCME on October 17th and 18th! This family-friendly Halloween event features FREE train rides from 10am to 3:30pm, both days.

👻 We will also have Halloween decorations up around the railroad, and we strongly encourage everyone to wear their best family-friendly Halloween costumes! Just please be sure not to wear anything too long that will drag along the train tracks during your ride.

Train rides are 12-15 minutes long and take you around a section of Fairview Nature Park.

What a performance! 🚂

We’re lucky to be able to take our trains off-site to promote Goathill Junction and our non-profit at different events throughout the year, but having one of the steam engines perform at a concert is certainly something new!

Thank you Synesthesia Sinfonietta for hosting us at the Bells & Whistles Concert held at Southern California Railway Museum. We had so much fun and we look forward to seeing everyone at Ghost-Hill Junction back in Fairview Park on October 17th & 18th.

👻 Next up is “Ghost-hill Junction” on October 17th & 18th! OCME is happy to present this fun, family friendly Halloween activity. Trains will be running from 10am to 3:30pm for free on both days.

🚂 We've heard that some SoCal residents have never heard of the Goathill Junction Railroad, so let us be the first to invite you to our FREE September Run Weekend! We will be giving free train rides from 10am to 3:30pm on both September 19th and 20th.

🚋We'll have plenty of trains running so lots to see for train fans young and old! Each train ride is around 15 minutes long, and after your ride you can get back in line and go again. Our railroad has a trestle bridge, fairy village and a cute gift shop

🚄We look forward to welcoming you to Goathill Junction. There are plenty of picnic tables at the train station so you can enjoy your own lunch. Please note passengers must be at least 31in tall to ride.

🚂 Free train rides are coming up in September! The Goathill Junction trains will next be running for FREE on September 19th & 20th, 10am to 3:30pm. Plus we have a special treat this month!

Our trains take you on a fun 15 minute trip through Fairview Nature Park. You’ll go over and under the trestle bridge, past the water tower and on a scenic bluff looking out over OC.

🚞 Here’s the special treat! The Toy Train Operating Society - Southern Pacific Division will be exhibiting some model train layouts on the Saturday. They will be exhibiting from 10am to 2pm on the 19th. Be sure to check it out!

Welcome Home Hiawatha!

Hiawatha #250 has returned to Goathill Junction and Orange County after an incredible weekend in North Carolina. The engine was a part of the America 250 Locomotive Celebration hosted by N.C. Transportation Museum

🚞 A huge THANK YOU goes out to the amazing NCTM staff and visitors for welcoming us to North Carolina. And thank you to the OCME members and friends who made the journey possible.
