Looking from the outside, it may look like we’re just letting a bunch of teenagers hang out and play basketball until 9:00 at night. But I promise you… it’s so much more than that.

It’s in those moments that relationships are built. It’s getting to pull a teen aside one by one and ask, “How are you really doing?” It’s listening when they need someone to talk to. It’s praying with them. It’s answering their questions about Jesus and walking beside them through the things they’re facing.

Sometimes, you have to start by building a relationship with them before they can begin building a relationship with Christ. The best conversations don’t happen sitting in a church pew. Sometimes they happen sitting on the sidelines of a basketball court, while shooting hoops, or in the quiet moments after everyone else has gone home.

So yes, we let them play basketball. We laugh. We hang out. We stay later than we probably should. 😂

But while they may come for the basketball, we pray they leave knowing they have people who love them, a place where they belong, and most importantly, a Savior who loves them even more.

It’s making space for them to find Jesus. ❤️

We would love to have your teens join us!! Every Wednesday @ 6:30.

16 teens have given their hearts to Jesus in a little over ONE MONTH. 🙌😭

You wanna know how it got started?

It started with just a couple of teenagers choosing someone they knew who they wanted to see grow closer to God.

And they started praying for them.

That’s it.

They prayed.

Then they started inviting.

Those teens came.

Then those teens started inviting other teens.
And somewhere along the way, we started watching something only God could do.

God is moving in the lives of these young people, and we are simply blessed enough to have a front-row seat to watch it happen.

These teens are hungry for more Jesus. They’re asking questions. They are breaking off into small groups to discuss what they have learned after each lesson. They’re opening their Bibles at home. They’re encouraging each other. They’re inviting their friends. And most importantly—they are telling people about Jesus.

It reminds me of Mark 1.

Jesus healed a man with leprosy, and afterward, that man simply couldn’t keep quiet about what Jesus had done for him.

Mark 1:45 says:
“But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.”

“Blaze abroad the matter.” 🔥

That phrase has been stuck in my mind because THAT is what we are watching these young people do.

They’re telling their friends.

They’re telling their families.

They’re inviting other teens.

They are excited about Jesus, and they want other people to know the Jesus they have come to know.
And let me tell you… we seasoned Christians could learn a thing or two from them.

What if we were still that excited to tell somebody what Jesus has done for us?

What if we “blazed abroad the matter” everywhere we went?

There’s no secret formula.

It’s Jesus. It has always been Jesus. ❤️

And we are praying this is only the beginning.

If your teen is looking for a place to grow in their faith, learn more about the Bible, ask real questions, make some great friends, and have a whole lot of fun—we would LOVE to have them join us!

Last night, on a Friday night with very little notice, 21 teens showed up for Bible study

What made the night even more special? After the lesson, they decided to break off into small groups and spent time talking about what they had learned and how it applied to their lives. ❤️

By the end of the night, they were already asking, "Can we do this again next week?"

As youth leaders, moments like these remind us that God is moving in the hearts of this generation.

If you have a teen entering 7th grade or older who is looking for a safe place to have fun, build friendships, ask questions, and grow in their relationship with Christ alongside other teens who are passionate about following Jesus, we'd love to invite them to join us.

📅 Friday, July 17
🕡 6:30–9:00 PM

No matter where they are in their faith journey, they are welcome here. We'd love to see them!

And our youth pastor taught the whole lesson barefoot. I guess when you're on holy ground, shoes are optional. 😆👣 Apparently, the only requirement for sharing God's Word is a willing heart… not shoes.
