Cornwall BFF

Cornwall's BFF program provides weekend meals for school children who qualify for free or reduced lunches in the Cornwall Central School District.

Mission Statement of BFF:
To provide nourishing food for weekend meals to elementary school students in the Cornwall Central School District who receive Federal free lunch at their school during the school year. The service to qualified students will hopefully enable them to be better nourished when they are away from school on the weekend. It is anticipated that this will help them be better prep

ared to focus on their educational activities because they are not worried about their basic food needs. Funding for this program will be through fundraising events, donations, sponsorship, and grants. This is a community project that will be staffed totally by volunteers and confidentially managed. The goal is to provide nourishing food on weekends to qualified elementary school students in the Cornwall Central School District.

Cornwall BFF, a community program with the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, is honored to be chosen by the West Point Spouses' Club as a grant recipient for our Summer Food Program! BFF Chairperson Rebecca Kashinski attended the reception on Monday at West Point.

Last week BFF Chairperson Rebecca Kashinski and Pastor Jeff Geary, received a donation of backpacks for the BFF program from SwissGear. Andrew Dubin facilitated the donation from the company and was able to secure 175 backpacks, which will be distributed during the next couple of school years. We would like to thank Andrew for facilitating the donation as well as Michael Pulichino, Daniella Leister and Mike Pace from SwissGear for their help and support of the Backpacks For Food program!

Backpacks For Food (BFF) is in need of 30 backpacks for the upcoming school year. The backpacks are used to provide weekend meals to those in need in the Cornwall Central School District.

If you are able to donate a backpack (no string bags please), your donation can be placed in the BFF bin outside of Cornwall Presbyterian Church's side door at 222 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson

Please have backpacks dropped off by Friday, September 5th! Thank you for your support!
