Church Developers Network Church Developers Network was started by Pastor Craig Strickland of Hope Presbyterian Church.

The Church Developers Network is a network of pastors and ministry leaders who want to see a racially reconciled Memphis by seeking God, doing life, and growing together. The network started as a way for Pastor Craig to share best practices with new churches that were starting from scratch. Over time the network expanded to ministries and other pastors who wanted to learn best practices for churches. The network became a place for racial reconciliation and unity to grow while still keeping the basic foundation of discussing best practices that can help any ministry or church. In 2008 Pastor Craig turned the network over to Pastor Dan Henley of Journey Christian Church and Pastor Dana Key of The Love of Christ Church (TLC). Under their leadership the network has continued to bridge the gap between races, denominations, and any other barriers that might keep God's church separated.

Happy Sunday! Hope all is well with Everyone!

Could you be ONE right relationship away from your next breakthrough?

Dee and I believe you just might be. ā¤ļø

But here’s the deeper question: Will you recognize that relationship when it comes—and will you know how to build it, steward it, and keep it?

That’s part of what we’ll explore at the 2026 Right Relationship Conference, October 23–24 in Memphis, with the theme:

ā€œRight Relationships Are the New Currency.ā€

Not because relationships are transactional, but because the right relationships are among the most valuable things God entrusts to us.

Come ready to recognize, build, strengthen, and steward the relationships God has placed—and will place—in your life.

We’d love to see you there!

What if understanding poverty began with listening instead of assuming?

Some of the greatest barriers to change are not a lack of compassion. They are a lack of understanding.

On Tuesday, July 28, community leaders, nonprofits, churches, advocates, and residents will come together for the Second Annual Common Ground Conference in Memphis. Throughout the day, participants will experience an immersive poverty simulation, engage in meaningful conversations, connect with organizations already making a difference, and explore practical ways each of us can help build a stronger community.

Real change begins when people choose to move from awareness to action.

If you have a heart for serving others, strengthening communities, or becoming part of the solution, this conference offers an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow alongside others who share that commitment.

It begins when we find common ground.

Welcome to July!

A new month reminds us that God is always faithful. Every sunrise is another invitation to walk in purpose, extend grace, serve others well, and steward our own health, faith, and well-being with greater intentionality.

As leaders, we have the privilege of helping build stronger churches, stronger families, stronger neighborhoods, and a stronger city. Every act of kindness, every prayer, every partnership, and every decision rooted in love moves us one step closer to the future we have been believing God for.

We are encouraged as we continue to see evidence that our prayers are bearing fruit and that our great city is moving from worst to first in so many ways. While there is still work to do, there is also much to celebrate. Progress is possible when people of faith choose to lead with wisdom, humility, and hope.

May July be filled with renewed strength, fresh opportunities to serve, divine connections, and countless moments to be the hands and feet of Christ in our communities.

ā€œBecause of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.ā€ — Lamentations 3:22–23

Happy July 1, 2026!

Let’s continue building what lasts for the glory of God and the good of those we are called to serve.

What a day. What a room. What a God.

On Tuesday, June 23, the Church Developers Network joined hands with the Spiritual Care Network for a gathering that reminded every person in the room why we do this work and why we do it together.

We are grateful to Dr. Daniel Henley, Chief Apostolic Officer and Executive Director of the CDN, and Chad L. Hampton, Founder and Executive Director of the Spiritual Care Network, for the shared vision and leadership that made this day possible. Thank you to Pastors David and Tiffany Dirmann and Memphis Tabernacle for opening your doors with such grace, and to Lakeside Behavioral Health and CEO David Morris for your generous investment in the well-being of our community.

Thank you to Pastor Nate Cser and the gifted worship team for leading us into worship and preparing our hearts for everything that followed, and to our outstanding presenters Charles Winton LPC, Loretta McNary TV Host, and Karin Conlee of Unite Memphis for challenging and inspiring every person in the room.

To every attendee, volunteer and servant who worked behind the scenes, your faithfulness does not go unnoticed.

We leave carrying one truth: Relationship is the new currency. Healthy relationships build healthy churches. Healthy churches build healthy communities. Healthy communities transform cities.

Memphis, we are just getting started. The Church Developers Network prays and believes that by 2035, Memphis will go from worst to first. We are building toward that future one relationship, one church, and one community at a time.
