This month, our young men and their mentors spent the day together at Geyser Falls, tubing, swimming, sharing meals, and having real conversations outside the classroom.

These are the moments that build trust and brotherhood. These experiences also remind our Kings someone is showing up for them, in every season.

Tomorrow, August 28th, is Give 8/28 through Community Foundation of Greater Memphis' LiveGive Midsouth, and our goal is to directly impact 200 young men this year.

"My friend told me about CPC. I found family." 🙌

That's how one of our participants describes his experience here, and it says everything about what this program is really about.

He came in on a friend's recommendation. What kept him here was the community. The feeling of belonging. The chance to actually better his life, surrounded by people who wanted that for him too.

This is why word of mouth matters so much in our work; one person believing in this program is enough to change someone else's whole trajectory.

Our Kings brought the heat this week 🔥👨‍🍳

Kings Who Cook is one of our favorite programs to watch in action because it's about so much more than cooking. It's confidence. It's teamwork. It's young men learning a skill and taking real pride in what they create.

Our Foundational Development Program covers 4 core areas: CBIP (Cognitive Behavioral Intervention), Financial Literacy, Mentorship, and Basic Computer Skills.

In just 8 weeks, our young men walk away with real, usable skills that set them up for the next chapter of their lives.

We need a minute to brag on some incredible young men. 🙌

Eight weeks ago, this group walked into the Christopher A. Pugh II Center ready to change their lives.

They didn't miss a beat. Through CBIP, financial literacy, mentorship, and basic computer training, they showed up week after week, and yesterday, they officially completed our Foundational Development Program!

Next up for them? Career Pathways. A real shot at a real future.

This is exactly why we do what we do. Growth doesn't happen overnight, but it does happen, one committed person at a time.
