Coos Bay Downtown right now! Trick or treating till five!

10/30/2026

🎃👻 Downtown Coos Bay is going to be crawling with little ghouls and goblins today!

The Coos Bay Downtown Association’s annual Trick-or-Treat is happening Friday, October 30, from 3–5 p.m. More than 125 businesses are participating, and they’re expecting around 2,000 kids downtown! 🎃🍬

Please watch for trick-or-treaters as you drive through downtown, and give our little Halloween crew extra time and space to cross. 🚸

The Chamber of Candy is open! Stop by our decorated office for candy and five mini trick-or-treat stops all under one roof. We’ll be joined by some of our members, including Midwest Coast Flooring, Star of Hope Coos and Curry, our Chamber Ambassadors, Oliver Northwest Services, Shoji Planning, and Black Anchor Coffee House. Be sure to catch Waste Connections on your way out! 🕷️🧡

We can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes! Let the Halloween fun begin! 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️🧛‍♀️

The Coos Bay Downtown Association, along with businesses throughout downtown, along Front Street, and in the Coos Bay Village, are opening their doors for Coos Bay’s Annual Trick or Treat the Streets!

Families and trick-or-treaters should look for the large orange pumpkin poster displayed in the windows of participating businesses. All merchants displaying the poster will have treats ready for the kiddos! 🍬🕸️

Everyone is encouraged to dress up, have some fun, and share the magic! Post your photos using the hashtag to show off your amazing, creative costumes.
🗺️ Map & Details: You can now download the full list of participating businesses at www.coosbaydowntown.com or find it right here on Facebook!
⚠️ Drivers: The sidewalks will be filling up fast with ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses. Please pay extra attention and drive safely through the downtown area during the event!

🌟 The future of our local workforce starts now—with the opportunities we create for students today.

At our first CTE + Industry Connection event, we focused on six sectors with real career pathways here on the South Coast: manufacturing, construction and skilled trades, health sciences, business and entrepreneurship, culinary arts and hospitality, and agriculture and natural resources. 🛠️🩺🌱

During the roundtable discussions, educators, employers, and community partners shared ideas about connecting students with local career opportunities. Industry partners were also encouraged to join advisory committees and help strengthen those connections. 🤝

The graduation statistics shared at the event give us plenty to keep talking about: Oregon’s four-year graduation rate for the Class of 2025 was 83%. It was 91.3% for students participating in CTE and 97.8% for CTE concentrators. 🎓

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who showed up, shared ideas, and made time to be part of this conversation. Showing up is how we build momentum—and how things get done! 🤝💙

A special thank-you to Natasha Garrison, Chair of our Education Committee and Youth Director at Recruit Hippo, for helping plan and organize this event. We’re grateful to all of our partners: South Coast Education Service District, Southwestern Oregon Community College, SOWIB, and Recruit Hippo. Here’s to many more connections ahead!
