Today is the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 31st Anniversary! On July 26th we celebrate this important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.

Advanced Health is currently accepting applications for the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Fund. We will be holding two reviews in Coos County:

1st round review: Applications due on July 22, 2021
Decisions announced: August 9, 2021

2nd round review: Applications due by September 23, 2021
Decisions announced: October 11, 2021

Funds are for community health initiatives that align with our Coos County CHIP Priority Areas:

1. Adversity, Trauma, and Toxic Stress
2. Prevention
3. Housing and Homelessness
4. Food and Nutrition
5. Transportation
6. Economic Stability
7. Access and Integration of Services
8. Behavioral Health and Addictions
9. Coordination, Collaboration, and Communication
