—If it will be your 1st time at District- you may want to Enter the Instructional Show-such a great way to get started and acclimate yourself and your equine to the Show Pen, and even if it won’t be your first time great to get tips and advice from a judge’s perspective on how to show those particular classes listed on flyer below! ⏹️We need your feedback on an end of year program date-think “EOY Party for our Horse Project members” Example for those new-last year we all met up at Dickeys to eat and celebrate our many achievements with our horse projects through the year. Dates choices are in email.

Check out the ATM Horsemanship Camp Flyer-so fun especially if you’d like to learn to be a better rider while playing fun games! This is open to adults too, whole family can ride if everyone has horses!

💡 We are so fortunate to have our District at the same place as State-take the opportunity to get in that pen and let your animals get used to the environment.

Thank you to all who attended our County 4-H Horse Show! The mud didn’t bog down our riders Fun and excellent show skills! Congrats to all for your District Qualifications! And Don’t forget that entry deadline is coming up.

Thank you to those who helped run this show! It allowed us to finish at a decent time and flow smoothly. Thank you for the pics as well that captured the exciting memories!

“We all start somewhere, and the glow ups could be seen today! Keep working, keep riding, and show up to glow up! Every single exhibitor shined in the pen at some point, and showed true growth in horsemanship-all were kind and patient with their horses, and that’s what makes the best equestrians. Reminder tomorrow’s County 4-H Horse Show will follow the rulebook when it comes to tack and attire. We want all to be ready for District and State show! If you have questions please ask.

Lone Star Expo has a lot of paved space available, with the amount of rain we’ve had likely best to stay on those when parking(always a good idea to test walk before driving on areas that could be soft-we don’t want anyone getting stuck), and please do not block roadways or gates.

*Very likely the outdoor warm up pad will be too wet for use, for rider and horse safety, let’s only use indoor for first part of morning, unless it’s deemed ok to use as the day goes on.

This is a huge pen we will have coned zones use those as delegated.

Not a bad idea to have light weight fold chairs, as getting up to stands is not always easy if going back and forth between pen and stands.

We look forward to seeing our qualified horse project members shining and having fun at the Montgomery County 4-H Horse Show!
