Al Filipov Peace & Justice Forum Recalling a day • Remembering a life • Changing the world

All of our lives were profoundly changed by the terrible events of September 11, 2001, when terrorists highjacked four commercial passenger planes, crashing two into the twin towers of the World Trade
Center in New York and one into the Pentagon, while the fourth was downed in a rural Pennsylvania field, short of its intended target. That September morning no one could have imagined the day would

close with 3,000 people dead, the twin towers in rubble, and our country, under attack, on the brink of war. The world watched in shock, disbelief, and grief at the incredible devastation and the tragic loss of life.

Our thoughts are with you. Parent's Circle was a recipient of the Al Filipov Peace & Justice Forum award in 2016.🕊

Our hearts are broken.

We express our deepest and heartfelt condemnation of the violence in the region. The relentless cycle of conflict has inflicted immeasurable pain and suffering on innocent lives.

It is an undeniable truth that the time has come to change the situation. This region has endured too much pain, too much bloodshed, and too many tears.

It is a moment for all parties involved to reflect on the senselessness of this continued conflict and to recognize the shared humanity that binds us all.

Recalling a Day – Remembering a Life – Changing the World: It is with pride, contentment and bittersweet feelings that the Al Filipov Peace & Justice Forum has drawn to a close after 20 years of Forums and amazing recipients who embody the mission---to promote peace and justice among all people and to demonstrate the power of an individual to make a positive difference in the world. The Forum has been held each year in memory of Al Filipov who was killed in the terrorist attacks on 9/11. On March 12, the Forum and Loretta Filipov were honored at Trinitarian Church in Concord MA--link to video below. Please refer to alfilipov.org for a list of past speakers who are making our world better. Thank you to the many people who made the Forum possible---whether you attended, read and shared our posts, volunteered, etc. While the Al Filipov Peace & Justice Forum work may be finished, we hope your efforts will continue to make a positive difference in this world. Together, we can make this world better! Peace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAczU58gm1k&list=PLI5bJdO_ozdx3azXNYgjf0xcKnvWeifPO &justice
