The ADRO Classic is right around the corner! What does ADRO stand for, and who is Adrian Martinez

The Adrian Martinez Classic began as a tribute to a great runner and wonderful young man, Adrian Martinez. Adrian was a champion miler at Concord-Carlisle High School, a team leader, and an all-around great guy. The summer after he graduated from Williams College, Adrian suffered a fatal sudden cardiac arrest while playing soccer with friends (another of his great pastimes). Adrian's passing was a sad shock to all who knew him, but the Martinez Classic is a way to honor his life by doing something he truly loved: running with friends.

The Martinez Classic serves as a fundraiser for the Adrian Martinez Scholarship Fund at Concord-Carlisle High School (which is administered by the Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle), and for the Friends of CCHS Track & Field, which supports the Track & Field teams at CCHS.

The Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce the establishment of "The Jane Munro Barrett Memorial Scholarship Fund”. Initiated by the Concord Chamber of Commerce, this scholarship is created to support students and honors most deservedly the memory of Jane Munro Barrett. It will be a viable testimony to her what she most distinguishably accomplished.

Sunday March 8th and Monday evening March 9th is The Scholarship Fund's 60th annual Phonathon.

We hope you will answer the call!

Concord-Carlisle High School students will be making calls from the CCHS cafeteria in order to raise money for The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle. Pick up your phone when students call, ask any questions you have about The Scholarship Fund, and please consider donating. No amount is too small-- every tax-deductible donation invests in the future of our local youth by making their college journeys more obtainable.
