The construction industry faces some of the highest rates of mental health challenges and su***de among working professions. Awareness matters, and so does access to support.

If you need help, or know someone who does, call or text 988 for free, confidential support, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are breaking ground on the future of IBEW Local 71!

Local 71 is celebrating an important milestone as we broke ground on our new meeting hall in May. This project represents the growth, opportunity, and continued commitment to serving our members in the years to come.

None of this would be possible without the commitment and support of our membership. We are excited to share renderings of the build and look forward to welcoming you to the new facility.

The 2026 election for IBEW Local Union 71 is officially underway. Members may already be receiving ballots by mail. We encourage all members to complete and return their ballots as promptly as possible to ensure they are received prior to the ballot count.

Please take time to carefully review and follow all instructions included with your ballot. Failure to comply with ballot instructions may result in the ballot being deemed ineligible for counting.
If you have not received a ballot by June 3, please contact the election office to request a duplicate ballot by calling 412-548-2140.

Please note that the final day to request a replacement ballot is June 8. This deadline allows adequate time for ballots to be delivered and returned by mail prior to the ballot count on June 12.

We appreciate your participation in the 2026 election and thank you for taking part in the democratic process of Local Union 71.

2 Navigate to “Register for Events.”
3 Click the green “Register” icon for the golf outing.
4 Complete all required fields and answer all questions.
5 Enter your credit card information.
6 Click “Pay and Register.”
You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is complete.
If you would like to register and pay for additional members of your foursome, you can repeat the process and update the participant information for each registration.

We are saddened to share the loss of Brother Edward W. Bean.

Brother Bean was a proud member of Local 71 as a Journeyman Lineman. He will be remembered fondly by those within our brotherhood.

We are saddened to share the loss of Brother David A. Miller.

Brother Miller was a proud member of Local 71 as an equipment operator. He will be remembered fondly by those within our brotherhood for his work ethic, kindness, and being a friend to all.
