Update! Meet Summer the newest recipient of a Bioness device. Summer suffered an Arteriovenous Malformation that led to a stroke at 20 years old. She lost function of both her right leg and arm. Through hard work, therapy and determination she gained back most of her strength in her leg, but her arm did not have the same success. This is our first donation of the hand device, Bioness H200. Summer has had great success using the H200 at therapy, but insurance denied the claim. Her mom, Heather, reached out to me to see if the Foundation could help. Heather had reached a breaking point dealing with denials from insurance and I am so glad she called me. THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, this is another example of how donations change lives. I have no doubt Summer is going to do amazing things now that she has the hope the H200 provides.
