It takes significant resources to support an athletic program the size of Ohio State's - one of the largest and most comprehensive collegiate sports programs in the nation. The Department of Athletics is a fully self-supporting unit within the university, receiving no general funds, students fees or tax dollar support. The department supplies athletic and educational opportunities to over 1000 stu
dent-athletes in 36 varsity intercollegiate sports. Since its inception in 1977, the Buckeye Club has been the home for Ohio State's most loyal and dedicated fans. Because of your support of the Buckeye Club, the Department of Athletics is able to pay for the inflating expenses. Without your support, Ohio State would not be able to offer our young men and women a chance to earn a highly respected degree and the opportunity to compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics.
