We would like to thank the 200 plus Hilliard neighbors, Veterans and their families that attended this morning’s Memorial Day Presentation at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. This was a joint event held with the support of the Hilliard American Legion Post 614 and the Captain Nicholas J. Rozanski Memorial VFW Post 4931.

Below are the Veterans we have lost since last Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember those who sacrificed their lives for our country. It is a day to reflect on the bravery of fallen heroes like Captain Nicholas Rozanski, whose legacy exemplifies the spirit of Memorial Day. By remembering heroes like him, we make sure their sacrifices are not forgotten. Memorial Day reminds us to honor these individuals, reflect on their sacrifices, and express gratitude for the freedoms they secured. Let us pay tribute to all fallen heroes and support their families, keeping their legacy's alive.

Post 4931 Auxiliary News - Presidents desk

Let me start off by introducing myself: My name is Joe McCool. I have been a
Hilliard resident for over 30 years. I have been active with the post for the past nine
years as well. I retired from teaching in 2022, but I continue to work as a substitute
teacher every day in the South Western City School District. One of my favorite hobbies
is officiating for the Bass Pro Tour, where I serve as a boat official and tournament
judge. I also enjoy camping, boating, and competing in bass fishing tournaments.

My wife, Cheryl, and I have been married for 34 wonderful years.I am your new President of Auxiliary Post 4931 for the upcoming year. We have some exciting news to share with all members of the post. Beginning in July, on the third Saturday of each month, we plan on holding our first omelet breakfast. The time will be from 9–11 a.m. This event will be open to the public, so feel free to invite your family and friends to come join us. The cost of breakfast will be determined within the next week or so.

Also, starting in August, we will be offering a meatloaf dinner that will also be
open to the public. It will be held on Sunday afternoons from noon until 3 pp.m. We are
currently looking for new members to join the Auxiliary, so if you know of someone who
may qualify, please invite them to come see all the GREAT things we do as a post! If
you’re unsure of what qualifications need to be met, feel free to reach out to me through
the post.

So, in closing, stop by and see all the great things happening and the
opportunities you have to become involved!

Sincerely,
Joe McCool

Another successful flag placement for veterans at Wesley Chapel Cemetery this morning. Close to 100 Scouts of all types, Veterans and their families, local civilians, and at least one person from out of state were present for placing the flags today. Without their help, this could not be done to show pride for our fallen Veterans. Thank you.
