On this date 20 years ago (May 17, 2006), the Reverend Chuck Allen and Jet Sterling broadcast the very first Surfabilly Freakout radio show on WPGU FM in Champaign, IL. Last night the Fraternal Order of Moai - Kahiki Chapter was privileged to be invited to the, soon to be opened, Huli Huli Downtown for one of their soft openings. What an incredible transformation from the old Jury Room to a tropical tiki wonderland!

Dustin Sun and Nick Elam have been working hard to get everything ready and it was an amazing evening. The cocktails were perfect, the food delicious, and the atmosphere tikified. What a great time spent with FOMily, old friends, new friends, and tiki enthusiasts. Can’t wait til they are officially open! We will be there often!

Aloha Central Ohio zone pushers (and beyond)!

We’re certainly jealous of our chapter members living in warmer climes. We have to work much harder for that tropical look. Bananas are pretty easy to grow though. Anyone else? Share a picture in the comments.

The FOM Foundation has now donated $5,000 to Americares to benefit Jamaica hurricane relief efforts. And that $5,000 is just a start!!

The need in Jamaica, especially with individuals who have lost their homes, is great.
