Join our team! Sunbury Urban Farm is unlike many farm and garden jobs. The primary consumers of the food being grown are the 100+ summer campers that visit the farm each week. Children will be present exploring, playing, planting, and harvesting everyday. Meanwhile, the farmer team will be working in the background to ensure the garden is growing strong and there are plenty of delicious, healthy veggies and eggs for camper “snacktivities” as well as to sell at our weekly on-site farmstand.

About the job: part-time/seasonal, flexible start and end dates with possibility of year-round employment. $15/hour, 10-24 hours a week with consistent schedule.

What are you planting in your summer garden? Summer seedlings are available now through the end of May on our online shop. Order by Wednesday for pick up at the farm on Friday! We’ll be adding more seedlings each week as they become available! Happy planting!! 🌱

Have you heard about our new half day summer camp for ages 5-8, Forest Friends Playcamp? Space is still available in lots of camp weeks!

Plant a seed, make a wish, watch the wonder bloom! Forest Friends Playcamp invites children to spend their mornings immersed in farm and forest fun. Each day blends a hands-on activity like gardening, nature-inspired arts and crafts, or a visit with the chickens with joyful kid-led forest freeplay. This half-day program is designed to spark imagination, nurture a love of nature, and help children feel at home in the wild.  Cost: $250 | Drop Off: 8:15-9 a.m. (same as full day camps) | Pick-Up: 12:15-12:30 p.m. Note: one daily snack is provided at this program; campers depart before lunch.

Did you know that campers can sell farm grown seedlings to help pay for their summer camps and Farm & Forest School enrollment? In addition, a portion of every sale goes into the farms finacial assistance fund to help others attend farm programs.

Our annual spring fundraiser is happening now through March 15. Plants will be ready for families to pick up on Mother’s Day Weekend, the perfect time for summer garden planting. Parents can download the fundraiser packet from the forms section of their Parent Dashboard now.

Why should kids have all the fun? Adults, join us for a fun and informative maple syrup-making experience! In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to identify maple trees in the winter time, taste-test fresh sap and syrup, and watch the syrup-making process unfold from start to finish. Our instructors will guide you through the steps as you experience the magic of turning sap into liquid gold. Enjoy a sweet maple treat and beverage from of as you immerse yourself in this sweet, seasonal tradition. Perfect for those looking to explore the art of maple syrup making and enjoy a cozy, interactive evening outdoors!

📢New Program Announcement: Teen Survival Camp📢

Day camp with Thursday overnight! Teens will build on their existing skills all week, then put them to the test at our first ever SUF Survival Slumber Party!

🔥 confidently build fire
🔪 use a knife to create other tools
🍃 forage safely for wild food
🍳 cook over a campfire
✨ stargazing and night games
⛺️ sleep under the stars (Thursday night)

Dates: June 29 - July 3
Ages: 13+
Cost: $425

This program follows the regular day camp schedule with the exception of the Thursday overnight where teens will cook dinner and breakfast over a fire. They’ll have the option of sleeping in a tarp shelter that they helped to build or sleeping in the program barn.

Did you know you can order eggs from our website and pick them up fresh from the farm each week? Order by Thursday for pick up on Friday afternoon! Regular Farm & Forest School Families can order by Monday for pick up at their regular Tuesday session.
