Two of our Bartholomew County Genealogical Society board members, Annette Blount and Paige Finke, attended the National Genealogical Society (NGS) Conference last week, located in Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne is home to the second largest genealogy library in the USA! The genealogy section alone, spanning 42,000 square feet, is full of books of family last names and county records from across the United States.

It was such a fun and informative conference. You had the opportunity to learn everything from looking into your house’s ancestry to seeing what a genealogist as an expert witness looks like through a mock trial.

It was so wonderful being around many
like-minded individuals all interested in family history.

If any of you have the opportunity to attend next year’s NGS conference located in Madison, Wisconsin, do! I am already planning to attend!!

Your Fellow Genealogy Friend,

Paige Finke
