The moment you've all been waiting for is here... Announcing the cast of SpongeBob the Musical 🧽⛱ 🌊 If you're excited for the show, you're in luck! Presale tickets are officially available.

SpongeBob SquarePants is the musical adaptation of Nickelodeon’s long-running animated children’s sitcom of the same name. We find ourselves in the undersea city of Bikini Bottom, inhabited by ever-optimistic yellow sea sponge SpongeBob SquarePants and his equally quirky circle of friends. SpongeBob’s pleasant existence is interrupted when it is discovered that Mt. Humongous will erupt within the next 48 hours and completely obliterate Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob resolves to save the day when everybody else has given up all hope.

This production comes to Columbus East High School's Auditorium July 16-18 at 6:30pm and July 19 at 2:30pm

As we close the curtain on The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, we want to thank everyone who supported this production, from our cast and crew to every audience member who laughed, gasped, and sang along with us.

This show challenged us in the best ways. It’s strange, funny, unsettling, heartfelt, and unlike anything we’ve ever done before. Bringing this world to life has been an unforgettable experience.

Director’s Note:

“The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals starts with a simple premise, a man who hates musicals. What begins as comedy turns into a world where music isn’t just entertainment, but something inescapable and unsettling.

I’m always interested in stories that break away from the traditional, and this piece turns the idea of a musical on its head, using it as both a storytelling device and a source of conflict.

At its core, this production explores individuality versus conformity. What it means to resist when everyone else is falling in line. By leaning into both the humor and the horror, we aim to create something that’s as entertaining as it is eerie.

Enjoy the show, and maybe be glad you still have a choice in whether or not to sing.”

— Kaley Gatten, Director
