Meet the Artists: Chasing Liberty Goods
We're excited to welcome back Adam & Kara Martin of Chasing Liberty Goods to Arts in the Park!
Adam and Kara specialize in upcycled creations, woodwork, illumination, handcrafted jewelry, and one-of-a-kind functional art. Their work is inspired by a passion for giving forgotten and neglected items new life, transforming vintage metals, reclaimed materials, and unique finds into beautiful, useful pieces with a story to tell.
Their creative journey began while searching for wedding bands and discovering handcrafted coin rings made from half dollars. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion, and after plenty of research, experimentation, and trial and error, Chasing Liberty Goods was born.
One of Adam's favorite creations is his rocket ship pipe lamp, a piece that perfectly captures the imaginative spirit behind their work. As he puts it, seeing people's faces light up when they discover one of his creations is what makes it all worthwhile.
When it's time to get inspired, you'll often find Adam wandering through antique malls, searching for hidden treasures and fresh ideas. If Chasing Liberty Goods had a soundtrack, it might be a blend of Forever Young by Iron & Wine and The View Between Villages by Noah Kahan, songs that reflect the nostalgia, creativity, and craftsmanship found in their work.
What they love most about Arts in the Park? The community. From connecting with fellow artists to sharing their craft and meeting neighbors, it's the people who make the event special.
Be sure to stop by their booth and see how ordinary objects are transformed into extraordinary works of art!
