I'm Deja Haji. From San Diego to Columbus, I bring together humanitarian vision, entrepreneurial experience, and deep community advocacy. My background in community organizing and direct service provides critical insights into the systemic barriers that impact the families we serve at ZamZam.
Our approach centers on understanding that addressing housing instability, food insecurity, and economic barriers requires comprehensive, culturally responsive solutions. This perspective allows us to create programming that addresses root causes, not just symptoms.

This attack is not an isolated incident. It's part of a pattern of hate that targets Muslim women, immigrants, and people of color in our communities. When one of us is attacked for our identity, we are all under attack.

We stand firmly with our sister as she recovers from this traumatic experience. We also demand accountability from law enforcement and a thorough investigation that treats this as the hate crime it is.

Our community will continue to support each other, speak out against hate, and work toward a society where everyone can live safely without fear of violence because of who they are.
Hate has no place in Columbus. Period.
