Cooler and fall-like temperatures ahead this weekend. This includes the first potential frost of the season, with the lowest temperatures across the Eastern Ozarks on Sunday morning. A gradual warming trend then begins early next week.

Confidence is increasing in the potential for frost Sunday morning. The highest confidence is across the valleys and protected areas of the eastern Ozarks where there is a 60-90% chance of frost, and even a 20-50% chance of a freeze in isolated spots.

Today will feature a brief moment of sunshine this morning before clouds and isolated patches of sprinkles come back this afternoon amid gusty winds up to 25 to 35 mph and highs in the 50s. Tonight, the clouds will slowly clear and the winds will slowly diminish. Patchy light frost will be possible in protected, low-lying areas as lows dip into the middle to upper 30s.
