Columbus Comes Together

Columbus Comes Together This page has been created to help our hometown community come together to find resources during this time of quarantine.

We have a supportive and caring community and are hoping to offer one place for people to share how we can help our neighbors.

With the winter months ahead, do you know of services to help our home bound, sick or elderly provided by churches, businesses or reliable individuals that we can share here? Please PM us so we can help spread the word.
Thank you!

Game on - challenge accepted!

Farmers COOP is challenging Cherokee County towns to up their giving game and get local food pantries stocked! If combined donations reach a ton, COOP will match that amount.

Food Fight! Attention Baxter Springs, Columbus, Galena, Riverton, and Weir..... some of our area food pantries are struggling to keep their shelves stocked.
We are issuing a challenge to see which community can donate the most nonperishable food (in pounds) to stock their local food pantries. Food drop-off sites are available in each community and Farmers COOP will weigh the donations at the end of the challenge to determine which community will have county-wide bragging rights and receive a traveling trophy donated by the Columbus News-Report!

Farmers Cooperative Association - Columbus & Baxter Springs, KS is challenging the entire county! If ALL donations combined exceed 2,000 pounds, Farmers COOP will donate an additional 2,000 pounds of food!

**If you want to participate, but for health or transportation issues can’t get out? Rebecca from Riggs Chiropractic Riverton will do food donation porch pickups on Mondays in Columbus. Call her at 620-249-9012.
