✨HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, AMPLIFIHER! ✨

One year ago today, AmplifiHer was born from a simple but powerful vision: to create a community where women and girls in music could connect, collaborate, support one another, and have more opportunities to be SEEN and HEARD.

What started as a shared dream between co-founders Kimber Carpenter and Mandy Applegate has grown into something truly special.

And WOW, what a first year it’s been! 🔥

🎤Launched our AmplifiHer showcases, bringing incredible female talent to the stage.

🎸 Curated Girls with Guitars with Black Nerd Mafia, which has grown into a recurring showcase celebrating women in music.

💃🏻 Hosted performances at venues including the Koger Center for the Arts, the Art Bar and a writer’s round at Uncle Festers.

🎶 Launched our first Lady Jam, creating opportunities for musicians to connect, play, and collaborate.

🤘 Established an official AmplifiHer committee, bringing together a passionate group of people dedicated to growing our mission and creating new opportunities.

🎤 Built relationships with artists, venues, community partners, volunteers, and supporters who believe in what we’re doing.

💕 Came together through music to support one of our own, proving that this community is about so much more than what happens onstage 💕

But our greatest accomplishment isn’t measured in shows, stages, or milestones.

It’s the connections we’ve made. The friendships we’ve formed. The confidence we’ve helped build. And the women who now know they have a community cheering them on.

To every musician who has shared their talent, every committee member who has stepped up, every volunteer who has worked behind the scenes, and every person who has attended a show, shared a post, or believed in this mission — THANK YOU!

AmplifiHer was built on the belief that there’s room for ALL of us to shine. And when we lift each other up, we ALL rise.

One year down. So much more to come.

Djent the God performing at the Girls with Guitars Volume 2 event at the Koger Center for the Arts this past summer!

One of my favorite songs of her set…alot of people just look for the laughs…the real gem is her talent as a musician and songwriter.

To every single person who came out to support AmplifiHer and Black Nerd Mafia’s Girls with Guitars Vol. 3 — THANK YOU.

This night was especially close to our hearts because it was all for our co-founder and dear friend, Mandy Applegate. Seeing so many people come together to surround Mandy with love and support as she walks through breast cancer treatment was incredibly moving. Every ticket purchased, every donation made, every person who showed up and filled that room with love helped make the night mean even more.

A huge thank you to Art Bar and the entire staff for giving us a space to gather, create, make some noise, and celebrate women in music.

To our sound crew — thank you for keeping two stages moving all night and making sure our artists could do what they do best. There is so much work happening behind the scenes at a show like this, and we appreciate you!

To our volunteers and AmplifiHer crew — THANK YOU. From the doors to merch to donations and all the little things happening throughout the night, this event simply could not happen without people willing to jump in and help.

And a very special thank you to Black Nerd Mafia for being part of this with us and for your continued support of artists, music, creativity, and community. 🖤

And of course, to every incredible artist who stepped onto those stages — thank you for sharing your music, your time and your talent with us. Watching women support women, artists support artists, and a room full of people genuinely celebrate one another is exactly why AmplifiHer exists.

Last night was about music and community — but most of all, it was about showing up for one of our own.

Mandy, we love you. We are with you. And you have an entire community standing beside you. 💗

Come out and see 12 female singer-songwriters perform as we come together for a Breast Cancer benefit show for local favorite Mandy Applegate.

Tam the Viibe will keep us rolling through the evening as she MC’s and performs some of her own music. It’s going to be 🔥

Hi! We’re Kimber Carpenter and Mandy Applegate, the co-founders of AmplifiHer. ✨💃🏻💃🏼✨

A little over a year ago, we started talking about something we both felt was missing in our local music community—a space created specifically to help women in music connect, support one another, find opportunities, and grow together.

And from those conversations, AmplifiHer was born.

What started as an idea has grown into something neither of us could have fully imagined. We’ve watched women who had never met become friends. We’ve watched artists step onto stages, collaborate with one another, share resources, encourage each other, and create genuine connections that extend far beyond a single show.

✨That connection is the heart of AmplifiHer.✨

Our mission is to create performance opportunities for women and girls in music, foster friendships and a supportive music community, mentor and encourage emerging musicians, and advocate for greater representation of women in music.

But AmplifiHer isn’t only about who’s on the stage.

It’s about building a community around them, too—musicians, music lovers, venues, photographers, sound engineers, creatives, supporters and allies who believe that when we make room for more voices, our entire music community becomes stronger.

We’re still growing. We’re still learning. And we have a LOT of ideas about where AmplifiHer can go from here. ❤️

But one thing has never changed:
