Columbia Chamber of Commerce The Columbia Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1905. The Chamber is an investment for your company

The mission of the Chamber of commerce is to lead our community, drive commerce in our region and advance community and regional collaborations, thereby enhancing the quality of where we live, learn, work and play. Since 1905, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce has been a voluntary, member-supported organization of business, industrial and professional people who are dedicated to developing, promoting and maintaining a sound and healthy economic climate for Columbia. The Chamber is a non-profit organization with about 1,000 members working together to enhance the Columbia business community. We are so thankful to have Boone Electric Cooperative as a vendor and partner at our first ever Worlds of Work today. Without their help, none of our banners would have been hanging throughout the event—and they even showed up for us at 5 a.m. to make it happen!

We are so lucky to have such an incredible local electric co-op and community partner. Thank you, Boone Electric Cooperative, for always showing up for our community!

We are unfortunately cancelling our membership committee and BYOC for tomorrow morning, September 17. We have our Worlds of Work event coming up and need all hands on deck to make it a success. We're looking forward to a great event for the students and businesses involved, and your understanding means a lot. If you have any questions, please reach out to Calvin Draper, our Director of Membership, at [email protected].

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our wonderful past chair, Matt Moore, 2020-2021. Matt shaped the Columbia community, there will be a noticeable hole felt by all in his absence. He was a leader in his work as CEO of Shelter Insurance, and his legacy of service spanned from the Boys and Girls Club to the national athletics landscape. As a 2025 Chamber Legacy recipient, we were happy to celebrate with Matt the monumental impact he made on our community. Everyone who was in a room with Matt felt a sense of bigger purpose. From your chamber family, we will deeply miss your light.

We are thrilled to announce that Abdul-Kaba Abdullah has been named the new President & CEO of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, effective July 1!

Abdul brings more than two decades of experience in economic development, community revitalization, and public-private partnerships to our community. As Executive Director of Park Central Development in St. Louis, he facilitated more than $1.3 billion in investment and led revitalization efforts across fifteen neighborhoods. As City Manager of Berkeley, Missouri, he sparked the city's largest economic growth in over 30 years.

Now he's bringing that energy and expertise to Columbia.

In his own words: "Columbia is a vibrant, growing community with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Together, we will build upon the Chamber's strong foundation and help ensure Columbia remains one of the best places in the nation to live, work, invest, and do business."

A brand new chapter. Welcome to Columbia, Abdul! 🖤🟡
