Following a Meet and Greet event with Senator Eric Schmidt, Janet Kissiar Crow and Marsha Corbin followed up with an office visit with his staff to discuss concerns like the Asian Longhorn Tick and the IRS determination of hobby farms as 50 head or less. Cheryl Foster of CA went on to her visits to share her first hand knowledge of the wolf issues across the West.

Missouri CattleWomen were represented at the annual ANCW Legislative visits in Washington DC by Janet Kissiar Crow and Marsha Corbin . Much like last year - legislators weren't in town for the most part. However, agency visits turned into a real highlight. Lunch with the USDA Deputy Under Secretary, briefings by NCBA Staff, Fish & Wildlife and the BLM. Tours of American Farm Bureau offices and the Senate Building were followed by a meeting at the Forest Service. Our time was well spent!

Couldn't miss thanking Doug Mertens, MCA's NRCS Specialist, for stopping in to do some demos at the Showcase. Even though he thought we limited his creativity, he did prove to be pretty entertaining!

What an amazing evening at the MCW & Mizzou CCW Girl Meets Grill and the first Mizzou CCW meeting of the 26/27 school year! Thank you Mandy for teaching everyone how to grill on the grills provided by MBIC. Thank you Katrina for the collaboration!

Marylin Lesmeister and Sammie deserve a special shout out for all their help at the Missouri State Fair Beef Showcase. Not only do they work their assigned shifts, they're willing to drop everything and come in when we're needing extra help! Because they're there on our busiest days, pictures don't always show them doing their part. But Marylin is always bringing her beautiful peacock feathers to share. We sure do appreciate you both!
