🎙️ Exciting news- TWO brand new Animal Mission microchip scanning stations just dropped! 💥

For their Silver Award project, Girl Scouts Troop 1056 joined us on our quest to make microchip scanners more readily accessible throughout our community. Together, we worked to get an additional two stations set up at The YMCA of Columbia and at Doko Meadows Park. Thank you, Troop 1056 for your help! 💙

These stations are available for public use, either 24/7 or during the location’s hours of operation. Every pet reunited in the community by finders like you can help keep kennels at our municipal shelter open for pets in need! 🐾

Unfortunately, tomorrow’s Pups & Pints adoption event in partnership with Columbia Animal Services and Savage Craft Ale Works has been CANCELLED 🚫 due to weather and safety concerns. ⛈️ Thank you for understanding, and please stay safe!

If you were planning to attend, please consider joining us on Saturday, October 17th from 5-7 p.m. at Pumpkin Patch Northeast UMC for 🐾 Pups & Pumpkins 🎃 another similar-style Columbia Animal Services adoption event! More details to come.

🎁 & if you were planning to drop off donations at Savage Craft Ale Works during the event tomorrow for our upcoming No Fleas Market, the drop off location has changed to Columbia Animal Services! Please feel free to drop off your donations off inside the lobby any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

⭐️ PLEASE NOTE that there is a separate donation bin for the No Fleas Market- please do not put flea market donations in the large shelter donation bin located in the foyer between the front doors. Instead, the No Fleas Market donation bin is located INSIDE the lobby, to the right when you first walk in (in front of the small side desk, marked with signage). Please feel free to ask a staff member or volunteer if you have trouble finding it. Thank you for your donations!

Join us for shopping, food, fall pet photos, adoptable dogs, and more — all to benefit Columbia Animal Services & Animal Mission! 🐾

TOMORROW’S THE BIG DAY! The 19th Annual Palmetto Peanut Boil! 🥜

Join us from 12-6 p.m. on the 2900 block of Devine Street for a day of tradition and friendly competition. Admission is free! ✨

As always, we’re highlighting the best of the best cooks and recipes in South Carolina. The competition features teams vying for the honor of the championship trophy and bragging rights for another year. 👨‍🍳🏆

Not into peanuts? No problem! The festival also features live music by a stellar lineup, great food, cold drinks, cool merch, and even some adoptable dogs from our partners at Columbia Animal Services! It’s a guaranteed great time every year- you won’t want to miss it!

The Palmetto Peanut Boil is Animal Mission’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and we depend heavily on the event’s success to keep powering our programs all year long.
