Every breeding decision matters. When choosing to add a dog to your family, please consider adoption! If you do purchase a dog from a breeder, please do your homework and only buy from truly ethical, responsible breeders. 🐾

If you see backyard breeding or the illegal/unlicensed sale of dogs, report it. Speaking up helps protect animals and prevent more unwanted litters from entering an already overwhelmed shelter system!

The 19th Annual Palmetto Peanut Boil is rapidly approaching, and we’re looking for sponsors to help make this year’s event a success! ✨

Since 2006, our spay/neuter voucher program has funded more than 66,000 vouchers, representing an investment of over $3 million in our community. The result? An 89% reduction in the number of pets euthanized annually at Columbia Animal Services. We also provide additional community support services and shelter resources whenever and wherever we’re able.

Thank you so much to everyone who voted and to anyone who has supported our mission in some way- whether you’ve donated, volunteered your time, advocated for us, helped TNR community cats, adopted or fostered through a local shelter or rescue, shared our posts online, or simply cheered us on.

Thank you to everyone who came out for another successful Pups & Pints in support of our partners at Columbia Animal Services, and congratulations to our FOUR adoptees and their new families! 🍻

There were so many great dogs in attendance on Sunday- be sure to check them out, as many are still available and in need of forever homes! (See each photo caption for details/info about the dog pictured.) They are available through Columbia Animal Services.

If you missed us at Jake's on Sunday but wanted to attend, we'll be at Bierkeller Columbia on Saturday, September 12th from 12-3 p.m. with more adoptable dogs from CAS! 🐾

Think your nuts are the best in town? Prove it at the 19th Annual Palmetto Peanut Boil! 🌴

Gather your crew and compete for cash prizes, bragging rights, and the chance to help homeless pets. 🐾 Teams must prepare a minimum of 100 pounds of peanuts (any flavor- get creative!) We’ll provide one bushel of peanuts to get you started, plus a tent, table, chairs, breakfast, T-shirts, and more.

🏆 Awards include Judges’ Choice, People’s Choice, Most Creative Recipe, and Best Decorated Tent. Cash prizes range between $100 and $400.

The Paw Path, dedicated in 2006 and located in Rosewood Park 🌳 is an ongoing collaborative project between Animal Mission and City of Columbia Parks and Recreation that pays tribute to and memorializes the love and joy that our pets bring to the community.
