To all the incredible mothers — today we celebrate your strength, love, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. You are appreciated, cherished, honored, and deeply loved for all that you do each and every day. Happy Mother’s Day to every amazing mother!

On May 2, 2026, the Ethel P. Jivers Foundation, under the Shaniya Parker Education Program, hosted its 4th Annual Mother’s Day Brunch, honoring two outstanding high school seniors with scholarships. Congratulations to Jonathan Smith and Halayna Sumter on this well-deserved achievement!

Special thanks to our Master of Ceremonies, Mike Ferguson, and to Lee Butler the Entertainer for helping make the event memorable and enjoyable for everyone in attendance. Heartfelt appreciation also goes to our dedicated board members for their continued hard work and commitment.

Thank you to all our sponsors and everyone who played a part in making this event a success. Your support, generosity, and dedication helped create a meaningful celebration for our mothers and scholarship recipients. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

The Ethel P. Jivers Foundation, through the Rebecca & Clarence Senior Feeding Program, was honored to serve our community this Easter season. With compassion and dedication, we provided 55 hot, bagged meals to seniors, ensuring they felt remembered, valued, and cared for during this special time.

This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting and uplifting our senior community, not just on holidays, but throughout the year. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back and make a meaningful impact, one meal and one smile at a time.

The Easter Feeding was sponsored by The Pink & Green Community Service Foundation, Inc. Volunteers consisted of Fayette Stallworth, Evans Kohn, Chase Evans for food preparation and, Tyrone Brown, Rev. Scarborough, Julia Campbell, and Juanit Farmer for food delivery. Thank you all for your assistance!!!

On Wednesday, November 26th, the Ethel P. Jivers Foundation: Clarence & Rebecca Senior Feeding Program was truly blessed with the honor of preparing and delivering over 70 hot Thanksgiving meals to our precious seniors. Each delivery was made with love, gratitude, and the spirit of giving.

These meals were made possible through the heartfelt generosity of the Scarborough Family, in loving memory of their mother Mable Barbara Scarborough; the Lexington Baptist Church Global Mission Advisory Board; and the O'Neal Family, in memory of their cherished mother Ms. Mary O’Neal.

To every sponsor and volunteer who poured their time, compassion, and dedication into this effort—thank you. Because of you, our seniors felt seen, valued, and cared for during this holiday season.

We love and appreciate each and every one of you. Your kindness truly made this Thanksgiving special.
