A call to love. A call to serve. A call to mercy. A call to join the mission.

And a call to invest in a child’s future. Through child sponsorship, you can walk alongside a child in Ghana and help provide the care, support, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Answer the call. Sponsor a child. Change a life.

This September, we’re celebrating Grace! A determined young woman who is taking the next step toward her dream of becoming a military nurse.
Grace is currently completing her WASSCE exams after successfully making it through senior high school. She loves reading novels, playing soccer, and spending time with friends.
Her journey is a powerful reminder of what sponsorship can make possible. Grace shares:
“I never thought I could further my studies at the senior high level due to financial challenges, but you have stood by me and supported me throughout these years.”
Every child deserves the opportunity to dream and the support to make those dreams possible.
Sponsor a child today and change a life.

A school is being built and these blocks represent so much more than a school.

Through our village partnerships, villages are experiencing real economic prosperity through fish cage farming, without relying on the labor of trafficked children.

And now, they’re building.

They’re dreaming about what their villages can become and investing in the next generation right where they live.

A school built by a village, for its children.

A future built on opportunity.

We can learn a lot from kids. 💛

One of our church partners sponsors six children each month, and their children’s ministry recently made prayer cards for them.

They’re learning about kids across the world, praying for them by name, and finding their own small ways to show them they are loved and supported.

It’s a sweet reminder that you’re never too young (or old!) to be the good and make a difference in someone else’s life.

August Child Spotlight: Meet Courage!

Courage is in Grade 3 and loves school. He says he's almost always the first one there each morning! His favorite subject is math; he loves football and riding his bicycle, and one day he hopes to become a police officer.

At home, Courage helps his family by sweeping, washing dishes, running errands, and fetching water. He even knows how to make his favorite meal, Akple with pepper and fish!

You can be part of a child's story, too. Child sponsorship helps provide the education and ongoing support children like Courage need to thrive.

August Employee Spotlight: Meet Thomas!

This month, we're proud to recognize Thomas, one of Mercy Project's dedicated Assistant Field Officers.

Thomas earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon, and has been serving with Mercy Project since 2022. His work focuses on helping identify and rescue children who have been trafficked on Lake Volta, while building strong relationships with the communities we serve.

Our Field Officers play a critical role in Mercy Project's mission. They establish and strengthen village partnerships, work alongside community leaders and families, identify children who are vulnerable to or experiencing trafficking, and help coordinate the careful planning required to bring children to safety. Their presence in the communities creates the trust and collaboration that make rescue, restoration, and long-term prevention possible.

Thomas brings creativity, dedication, and a passion for community engagement to this work every day. Before joining Mercy Project, he served as a Mobile Registration Workstation Operator with Ghana's National Identification Authority during a nationwide registration initiative.

When he's not in the field, Thomas enjoys watching football, reading, watching movies, and listening to music.

Thank you, Thomas, for the compassion, perseverance, and commitment you bring to helping protect children, restore families, and transform communities. We are grateful for all you do.
