Seeking Citizens to Apply.
Volunteering for an advisory board offers numerous benefits, both personally and professionally:

Connect with Your Community. Serving on an advisory board is a fantastic way to form connections within the community. You'll have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with a diverse group of residents who share a commitment to improving our city. These connections can lead to lasting friendships and a deeper understanding of the community's needs and aspirations.

Considering a Future in Politics? Many local, state, and national political leaders get their start through volunteerism on a city board or commission.

Enhance Your Professional Experience. Volunteerism is not only about giving back; it's also a chance to enhance your professional experience. Serving on an advisory board can help you develop valuable skills such as leadership, communication, and strategic planning. These skills are transferable to any career path and can make you a more competitive candidate in the job market.

Apply at https://cpwa.us/government/boards_and_commissions/index.php

Special Recognition – The City would like to recognize a few unsung heroes. Police Officers George Bennett, Courtney Kates, and Daniel Watkins were recognized at the Walla Walla Valley Traffic Safety Superstar Awards for outstanding service to the community of College Place. The officers are pictured here with Captain Kris Schweigert and Police Chief Troy Tomaras. Not pictured is Officer Estela Walling. On behalf of City Administration, thank you to all four officers for their service and congratulations on the deserved recognition.
