Marcus Whitman Gem and Mineral Society A rock club for the Walla Walla Valley. Our monthly meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month and we encourage the community to join.

💎 Ever wonder how raw rocks become beautiful, polished treasures?

Join us this fall for Secrets of the Stones, a hands-on lapidary class led by our very own club member, Warren Rood, offered through Walla Walla Community College!

Learn how to identify and polish semi-precious stones like agate, jasper, opal, obsidian, and petrified wood.

Whether you're curious about cabochons, new to rockhounding, or dreaming of making your own jewelry, this is the perfect beginner’s class. All materials are provided, just bring your curiosity!

📍 Held at the Marcus Whitman Gem & Mineral Society Clubhouse

A sneek peek of specimens that are contributing to this years show exhibit 💎

Every year at our annual gem and mineral show we have an extraordinary showcase that displays a specific theme. This year our theme is Petrified in the West!

Club members have contributed their petrified wood specimens they have found or collected over the years. Members Ralph and Randy have been working diligently on this years showcase and we can’t wait to share it with you.
