🐴 **Meet Peggy Konzek, BMTR’s Feed Team Volunteer Coordinator!**

We’re excited to officially introduce **Peggy Konzek**, BMTR’s Feed Team Volunteer Coordinator!

Our horses count on us 365 days a year, and our wonderful Feed Team volunteers help make sure they have breakfast and dinner every single day. Peggy helps coordinate the volunteers who keep those meals coming — rain, shine, summer heat, winter cold, and everything in between. 💙

🍂🐴 **Fall Adaptive Riding is almost here!**

There’s something pretty special about fall evenings at the farm. 💙

Our **6-week Fall Adaptive Riding session starts next week**, and registration is open!

BMTR Adaptive Riding serves children and adults with disabilities, ages 4 and up. Riders work with our trained instructors, wonderful program horses, and dedicated volunteers in lessons designed around each rider’s individual abilities and goals.

It is a beautiful morning at the farm! We are filling the hay barn. Ron is working on the 4th load. Each load is about 4 tons $1,176

The horses are extra excited about breakfast this morning. We had a couple of open bales that needed to be used up. They get to eat this year’s fresh hay instead of hay that spent last winter in the barn.

Thank you again to Wildhorse Foundation for your $3,000 hay donation to help us feed the herd.

We are keeping our eye on the air quality, we have a one day all abilities horsemanship camp scheduled for tomorrow morning. 🤠

Even Cammy agrees—the smoky skies are no fun. 🐴💙

Due to unhealthy air quality, Blue Mountain Therapeutic Riding has canceled camp for Friday, August 7.

The safety of our campers, volunteers, staff, and horses always comes first. We are disappointed to miss another camp day, but we know canceling is the right decision under the current conditions.

We are exploring possible makeup dates and will share more information directly with camp families once plans are finalized.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we navigate a very smoky summer.
