On Sunday, members of WWU Amnesty Club marched along side fellow students, faculty, and the greater Walla Walla community for the internationally observed January 21 Women's March. The Walla Walla event saw over 2,400 marchers and was just one of hundreds of marches across the country and world. The march in Washington, D.C. in conjunction with sister marches is thought to be the largest demonstration in history.

Tracking the toll is not difficult, but understanding how and why the conflict evolved is far more complicated – and important.
