🎉 Great news for College Park!

The College Park City-University Partnership has been awarded funding through the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development 's (DHCD's) National Capital Strategic Economic Development Fund (NED), announced by Secretary Jake Day.

These investments will help expand affordable homeownership opportunities, strengthen neighborhoods, and support continued economic growth in our community:

🏠 $800,000 for the Community Preservation Trust to support long-term affordable homeownership and acquisition assistance for low- to moderate-income homebuyers.

🏘️ $200,000 for Live+Work College Park to provide down payment assistance for employees of College Park and the Discovery District, helping more people live where they work, reduce commute times, and invest in our community.

Together, these programs support homeownership and home rehabilitation initiatives that contribute to a stronger, more vibrant College Park.

Thank you to DHCD for investing in our community and helping make College Park an even greater place to live, work, and thrive.
