Our mission is:

To RESPECT the unique gifts of people with Down syndrome
To INCLUDE individuals with Down syndrome in all aspects of our community
To SUPPORT individuals with Down syndrome and their families
To EDUCATE families, medical communities, government and local agencies

Our vision is to build a culture of respect, inclusion, support, and education in Brevard County where individuals with Down syndrome can RISE to their full potential at all stages of their lives.

In the midst of recent social media discussions, we want to remind everyone that DSAB is dedicated to providing factual, up-to-date information and authentic family experiences that reflect the realities of life with Down syndrome.

Every individual with Down syndrome brings their own unique gifts, abilities, personality, and love to their family and community. While challenges can be part of the journey, so can incredible joy, growth, connection, and achievement.

If you are facing a prenatal diagnosis and feeling overwhelmed or uncertain, please reach out. We are happy to answer questions, share resources, and connect you with families who can provide a more complete picture of what life with Down syndrome looks like today.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. We are here to support you with information, understanding, and hope.
