Opill, a daily oral contraceptive, has a preferred storage temperature range of 68 degrees to 77 degrees Fahrenheit. If you get a pack from us (or anywhere for that matter) please be sure to plan to store it in a place that accommodates this to ensure the pill's efficacy.

Alt Text: A purple background shows Opill and a thermometer sitting on a shelf, with a potted plant hanging in the background. The thermometer reads 50, then rises to, 69, 78, and finally 99. It then slowly cools to 90, 85, and then 75. Text reads "Opill Should Be Stored At 68 to 77 Degrees Fahrenheit." Each change in temperature is accompanied by a ding if within the proper range, or a "Ni" if outside the effective range.

The Alliance for Period products has a map of each state and it's status on funding/requiring free period products in school. In some states, it is required and funded. In others; required but no funding. In still others, the funding is available and in certain cases even set aside for the purpose, but not require. In Florida, there is no funding because it's not required. Visit the link in our bio to view the map for yourself.

Contraceptive Patches (Like those made by Twirla, Xulane, and Zafem) prevent pregnancy by releasing progestin and estrogen into the bloodstream through the skin, preventing release of an egg and thereby not giving a s***m anything to fertilize. This patch must be reapplied every three weeks.

Birth control implants release a steady dose of progestin into the bloodstream, preventing release of an egg. This form of contraceptive functions for five years before it needs to be replaced.

Alt Text: Text reads "Birth Control Implants Function By Releasing Progestin Into The Bloodstream". This hormone prevents release of an egg. The "I" in implant then proceeds to fly off and implant itself in an arm.

Copper IUDs have a coil of copper wrapped around them, and the copper itself helps to prevent s***m from reaching and joining with an egg. This serves as a non-hormonal method of birth control.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/paragard/about/pac-20391270

Alt Text: A copper coil falls from the sky, then words appear labeling it as copper. The view zooms out and shows several s***m going towards the egg, disappearing as they get closer, and an explanation comes up stating that copper IUDs immobilizes s***m and helps prevent them from reaching an egg.
