When thousands of ducks take the plunge into the water on Saturday, they’ll be riding in style thanks to the support of a brand new Cocoa based business, AT Trailer Center. Our ducks will be arriving as a flock in a brand new a 2026 Bandit trailer, provided by AT Trailer Center. Come see our racers splash into the water at 3:15pm, as they escape from our awesomely cool Bandit dump trailer

🦆💛 THE DUCKS ARE COMING! 💛🦆

The countdown is on for the 28th Annual Great Brevard Duck Race, and excitement is building everywhere!

Our giant duck has arrived, volunteers are spreading the word, and some amazing local youth have been out planting signs throughout the community to help make this year’s event a success. Their hard work is helping us remind everyone that race day is almost here!

Every duck adopted helps support the children, youth, and families served by Crosswinds Youth Services.

💛 In Memory of Sue Schmitt 💛

We were saddened to learn of the recent passing of former Brevard County Commissioner Sue Schmitt.

Through her service on the Board of County Commissioners, and her continued advocacy on behalf of W&J Construction, Sue was a stalwart supporter of Crosswinds and our mission to serve youth in crisis.

This photo of Sue with our beloved Great Brevard Duck Race mascot, Ducky, captures the spirit of Sue’s legacy of service to our community. Every contact, and every engagement with Sue was met with kindness, and friendship.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Sue’s family, friends, and the entire W&J Construction team during this difficult time.

Thank you, Sue for being part of Crosswinds Duck Race family. The legacy you’ve left in our community is deep and wide, and your memory will always hold a special place in our hearts.

🌴🦆 We had a quacking good time! 🦆🌴

Today, Crosswinds Youth Services had the opportunity to participate in the Duck Regatta at Beachside Hotel & Suites as part of Accelerate Brevard’s community outreach event. We loved connecting with local businesses, sharing information about our programs, and spreading a little Duck Race excitement along the way!

A huge thank you to Accelerate Brevard and Beachside Hotel & Suites for hosting such a fun and engaging event. We enjoyed meeting so many community members and fellow organizations who are helping make Brevard County a better place to live, work, and play.

Today we had the opportunity to connect with residents at River Way HOA and share more about the mission of Crosswinds Youth Services and the work being done every day to support vulnerable and homeless youth in our community. They allowed us to take part in their Memorial Day Celebration.

Outreach matters. Conversations matter. Communities become stronger when neighbors understand the challenges facing local children and families — and how we can work together to create hope, safety, and opportunity.

We are grateful for the warm welcome, thoughtful conversations, and community spirit shown by everyone at River Way. Thank you for allowing us to share our mission and upcoming community initiatives, including the Great Brevard Duck Race on June 13.

Together, we can make sure no child feels forgotten.
