Goodbye to Alcohol and Hello to Recovery from one of our men on early recovery.
Dear Alcohol you were the life of the party, All ways had my back, I Loved you so much, The way you made me feel, Always there for me, I trusted you, When I was going threw bad times you was all ways there, And then the dark times came, my health started to deterate, I had to have you. You put me in jail you sent me to prison in the end you took my life away, the hangovers the sickness, the misery you caused destroyed me, I am saying good bye, I can not live with you anymore you almost killed me! Again I say Good bye
Hello Recovery
You have opened my heart and mind there is a better way, the struggles in life I don't have to uses, You have showed me the steps I should take, pulled me from dark places, Open my life up, Showed me how to live and to know I have choice's, that change is ok, feeling vulnerable is ok to let my guard down And trust in you, to take my will my life and show me the way. Recovery life feels so much better you give me hope and dreams, and Goals to achieve, You show me the will to make the changes I need to make in my life thank you Recovery for Everthing you helped me to stay sober and achive my goals, and life choices.
